Martlesham Heath Surgery

i phoned up about a medication review i'd misssed. i had been out in the garden the evening before and hadn't heard the phone ring. they left a voicemail to which i was replying. the receptionist was very aggressive implying it was my fault. how could i know they'd phoned if i didn't hear it?
the receptionist was virtually shouting at me and i was actually shaking when the call ended.

I had a medical issue with fitness for driving. The doctors were very helpful. More recently, I have had screening for a possible cardiac issue. Again, the surgery staff were very thorough in addressing the matter.

I can honestly say all the staff at this surgery are amazing they work extremely hard so thank you very much.

I went into the surgery with period issues, and was given Tranexamic acid to resolve this issue. When this didn't work, I returned and was prescribed a period delayer and ultrasound. I was told I was being given an ultrasound for one thing, but the sonographer told me they had been told to look for something else so there was a lack of communication between the two services and to me. Once this test returned negative, I went back for a follow up appointment (and when the 3 months long period had returned) and was told they could not do anything else and it was just 'hormonal'. For a woman, this was incredibly insulting as they did not offer to test for anything else they said it might have been, nor did they offer any medicines and said I now have to live with a permanent period?! In addition to this, when I booked my follow up appointment, I was given a male GP and he simply said that he wasn't the best person to look at my problem, due to it being about the reproductive system, and made me wait for 40 minutes to see a female nurse, purely because she was female. I don't know whether he felt uncomfortable talking about these issues or thought her best, but either way, I felt incredibly uncomfortable when the main GP at the surgery wouldn't help just because he thought it was a 'female issue'.

Waited 40 minutes to be seen only to be made to feel embarrassed and dismissed by the GP. They were rude and didn’t make me feel welcome at all, in fact I felt like I was being a burden.

All good, reception helpful, no long wait, nurse pleasant and efficient

Came in for a blood test. Was seen to straight away and the health assistant found the vein no problem. Great service

Super quick visit for shingles vaccination respecting my needlephobic anxiety and the appointment was swiftly made by polite receptionist when I initially called.

Good understanding of my problem and appropriate treatment provided
