I was so nervous when I went to my first Course, but the Staff were so welcoming. The Courses are very helpful and have given me Tools and Techniques to use when I’m struggling with my Mental Health. Without Recovery College I don’t think I would be here.
1st course was disappointing but second one b

*** I submitted 3 Enrollment document via the internet. I was rung about the first one I was asked to send another one, this I did the same way as the second one. To date I haven't heard from anyone. This means that lots of the courses have been run. I felt the introduction was the first course I should go for as I really dont see how the courses are going to be able to help. I feel very, very shaky now and ill. What do I do now?
Arguably the best part of NSFT

Least beaurocratic, open minded and welcoming envionment where what helps comes before diagnosis, funding, beds, red tape and egotistical protocols.
Humans were given two ears and one mouth. Many of the problems psychiatry complains about have been created by their poor practice, lack of medication compliance and 'revolving door' patients, due to not listening to a person's wishes or the pitfalls and side effects of such treatments. Not difficult people, unheard people, frustrated people. I wish a few psychiatrists would come along!

I was offered the recovery college but courses are not available in Sudbury and getting to Bury is very difficult for me, as I'm a wheelchair user.
Brilliant College!

Recovery college is brilliant, it has really helped me but it is hard for me to get to it from Sudbury, so please can we have more courses in Sudbury
Support is brilliant

I feel very well supported by the mental health team I have around me. Support worker especially.
Courses offered are of limited value

Limited value in the courses that are offered, it would be better to have more peer groups and support groups. The link worker only visits the main surgery but not my normal surgery.
