Lack of information

They didn't inform us that a family member had had a stroke and then downplayed the issues faced. Communication was difficult and we found that we got more information from the nurses.

When I had a heart attack at the end of the year I was taken to Papworth where I ended up staying for a while. All the care and staff were amazing, they are so busy but staff were lovely.

I was put in a room being used to store furniture and a broken tv, luckily I only stayed one night.

I had my heart surgery done here and they were great and provided really helpful post op information and advice and I now have yearly MRIs which are reassuring.
Poor discharge

I felt my discharge from Papworth wasn't done very well and I'm not even sure what is wrong with me following all the tests they've done. They wanted me to go home on patient transport even though I had an upset stomach and needed to be near a toilet. When I got home no one helped to carry my bags to the house and then later I had a fall. I then had to contact my GP for them to explain what was going on. I really wasn't ready to go home and don't feel I should've been discharged.

The staff are really great at making sure you have all the knowledge and information needed when you are being discharged. They covered everything like benefits advice and kept me well informed during my stay, they were great.

Amazing hospital. I've had two operations at the hospital and both have been excellent. The care and treatment from staff was wonderful the only downside was the food which wasn't great and there wasn't any support to eat and because I couldn't cut my food up I couldn't eat much.

The hospital staff looked after me so well when I recently had major heart surgery. They ensured I had safe environment to return to. They sorted 6 weeks of help for free at home and this will help me immensely with my rehabilitation.
Delayed results

I was sent to Papworth for a scan in July and was told the results would be fed back to me in two weeks. After a month I tried contacting the department and finally got to speak to someone who said it would be at least another fortnight as they hadn't even been reviewed yet.
