FIRST CLASS FROM ALL OF TEAM

I was referred by my GP after discovering McMillan were no longer visiting nurses. I have seen the CNS, OT, and doctor. Telephoned by one of the Paramedics and a lady who deals in relaxation. Each and every one of that team has delivered compassionate and caring support.
Amazing care

Amazing care and support provided by the team from the moment they got involved, something that is lacking in other services where finding someone to help can be very difficult with them saying it's not us who deal with that. The hospice is completely different and the care is second to none.
customer support inefficiency

Attempting to call and seek information about my relative's treatment progress has been met with frustration. It's disappointing to experience such inefficiency in customer support, especially during a critical time.
Onecall phone number is reassuring

The Onecall phone number is very positive for me, it provides security and reassurance and someone gets back to us, it is a good service.
I find the staff here very good and compassionate. There is one person who does tend to regularly use the phrase 'oh bless' which is rather annoying, I know it is a habit possibly and she is a kind person but hearing it so often can be rather unhelpful.

I feel right at home when I'm at the hopice, they do an amazing job supporting me with exercises to do.
Outstanding Service

A hospice nurse came to visit one of our (care home) residents who was very poorly and at 'end of life'. The nurse was very supportive to both me and and another senior carer and also to the family. She remained with us during the lady's passing and offered comfort and support to the family and just went above and beyond the call of duty.
Can't praise enough

My husband has been under his care at the hospice for over three years, we used to go to appointments, but since the beginning of this year our nurse consultant visits us every week, any medication needed they fax our doctor and it gets delivered. My husband is on oxygen 24/7 as he has Idopathic COPD Fibrosis, we cannot praise the hospice enough, they are fantastic.

I called the hospice nurses late over the weekend and with in hours they were with us providing much needed support and care.

I have had times of respite care at the hospice and also symptom control, and daycare. The kindness and care has been truly fantastic, not just to me, but my family too. The hospice has a really lovely atmosphere, and yes at times there can be sadness, there are also happy times too, staff do all they can to help, and also the many wonderful volunteers xx
