Phone lines down

I have been calling since 8 am and don’t get an option to hold in line. The message automatically tells me the reception team are busy and hangs up. Is there a problem with the phone lines please,?

Excess medications are wasted

They used to deliver my medications, but there is such a build up of medications I feel that it is such a waste. I have to say that the care that they gave my husband was very good and compassionate.

Excellent care

I was so impressed with the care I received, especially from Dr XXXXX. He was very thorough and found a potential issue and got me seen by the hospital same day. The surgery also called me afterwards to ensure I have follow up appointment with the doctor. Usually you have to follow up yourself. I’m very happy with this surgery

Excessively difficult to book an appointment

It is incredibly and unnecessarily difficult to book an appointment with the practice. Our baby had a high temperature and was vomiting and the only way to get an appointment was to call at 8am when there were 59 ahead of us in the queue. We spent well over an hour on the phone and then were told we needed to call back at 12pm. We then needed to wait for someone to call us back later in the afternoon. This makes it extremely difficult to book an appointment, especially for anyone who works during the day.

Difficulty in getting an appointment

The only way to get an appointment is to phone a 8am, and join a que for around 10 to 20 mins sometimes more. If you work this can be difficult, for obvious reasons

It’s impossible to get an appointment.

You cannot pre book an appointment at all, so unless you can call at 8am (even then I was 60 in the queue and there was only one appointment left) which discriminates anyone that works, then when I got my appointment to be told I needed another appointment to see another practitioner which is what I wanted in the first place.

Hardwicke House Practice website very poor

Website is full of pictures of buildings, doctors' names etc. but very little real information. I wanted to find out when/where I could get a covid booster and a flu jab but website useless. There is no question box to ask about current stuff. It's just very poor.

Appointment Booking

I'm ending up having delayed treatment due to the essesive difficulty in booking appointments. When I call at 8am (the only time you can get an appointment) the call queue is long even if I call on the dot of 8am. Often I cannot get into the queue on the dot of 8am due to caller volume and if I do the wait is more than 15 minutes by which time I have to take my children to school so cannot hold on the line. I then tried the econsult appointment form which had a question about symptoms, none of which I have, with no option to select none of the above. When I called I was advised to select a symptom I don't have which I do not want on my record as it would be untrue. The service at Bures once you get an appointment is great. I feel this service is not providing adequate access for patients to access appointments and therefore patient treatment is being delayed unnecessarily. Could there be an online re-referal request form?

Post natal care

Not only were their 6 week checks thorough, but when I was being an emotional wreck over all the other joys a postpartum body brings, they were amazing. I cannot recommend Hardwicke enough, they have always been compassionate and organised for the 6 years we have been with them.
