Cut off by the phone system

I called the other day and was second in the queue but I was cut off a few times and had to ring back which was a bit frustrating. When I did get through the receptionist was lovely and extremely helpful and with a cheerful attitude, a real asset.
Been deregistered

I've always rated this practice. But they've deregistered me due to moving and haven't been able to change my address yet. Maybe instead of letters chase up with phone calls? I work in a dentist, so I understand but don't just deregister patients!!!
Difficult to make appointment

I find it difficult to make an appointment as I get told there are no slots left and they can’t book me in for another day but I have to ring back tomorrow. For me a disheartening system as I don’t mind waiting a day or two to speak to the doctor but to have to ring again I don’t consider good service. Some (not all!) of the reception staff are quite rude as they come across very stressed with little time.

I had to phone the surgery 24 times today before I could get through, I have it recorded on my mobile. If this could be improved it would be much better.
I would like some music playing

It is helpful to have other practices to go to if Bures can't fit you in. I am happy with the surgery. I would like to hear some quiet music playing as you can hear everything that everyone is saying. The doctor calls the patient in from their door and people often cannot hear, it would be better if the doctor came closer to the waiting area to call the patient.

It helps to have a local surgery, it also helps to be part of a group practice when needed, I like to have a local dispensary too. No changes needed at this time.
Phone system works well for me

They put themselves out hugely to find me an appointment, if they don't have one. I had breast cancer and it was dealt with very quickly and had a referral to Colchester and now I am 4 years clear. The phone system works well for me.

It's an all round good experience at this surgery. You can go to other surgeries in the group if needs be. I can make appointments as I need to.

This is a good surgery, sometimes you have to wait a bit for an appointment but its not too bad.
