June 24, 2019
Put my son on a controlled drug yet only sees him every 6-9m.
I monitor weight and BP MYSELF.
Someone else phone number was on the file I requested it be removed and next time I attended it remained the same!!
ZERO help or support for parents who are genuinely STRUGGLING.
Poor communication between here, School, GPs, And other services.
Referral for ASD testing was meant to happen in December and by july it still HAD NOT BEEN DONE!!!!

Hello, im a mental health patient, and i have been in the system for 3 years. It took them that long to offer me anything besides a pill that didnt work for me. I reached crisis point and they waited for me to attempt suicide and end up in hospital before reconsidering. They never answered my mothers desperate phone calls, never offered advice, and very often any advice that was given was contradicted by other professionals. I hardly ever saw my care- co, and still don't. Its only when my mother threatened to take them to court for negligence that they actually did something. Records are lost and ignored or deleted, facts are inaccurate and unhelpful. Offering group classes for someone who's been in the system this long is not therapy folks! When will they wake up and realise that they cannot sweep unnecessary deaths and negligence under the rug forever? To all those who have had a similar experience, i am so so sorry, and i hope you stay strong.
Daughter taken several overdoses.

Promised appointments with service, already on case load but appointments didn’t happen. No response from them after phone calls etc. We were left to deal with her fragile mental health.
Over promises and under delivers

My daughter was discharged from Wedgwood in May 2019. They wanted to discharge her earlier but we wanted to make sure that everything was in place for her aftercare. We might as well have let them discharge her earlier. She has been an inpatient for a year and has come back into the community. There has been very little to help with the transition. She has met her care co-coordinator twice in this time, once for half an hour and the second time for an hour. We like her care co-ordinator and think she is good at her job within the the terrible constraints of a system that is not fit for purpose. By law, my daughter is entitled to aftercare. Meeting her care co once every 10 days to 2 weeks is not enough. Being referred to courses at some point in the future is not enough; making an appointment to meet the crisis team at some point in the future is not enough. The courses at the recovery college might be useful for first time people suffering a mental health crisis but not for someone who has spent a year on a psychiatric ward. She was told that what she needed is DBT. Where is it? I don't want to hear that it isn't available locally. It has to be. Everything works at a snails pace. The care and support that she needs should have been ready and waiting for her as soon as she was discharged. I now understand why so many people end up back on a psychiatric ward.
Appalling service. Makes mental health worse.

Just awful. Been in service 2 years and no closer to any actual treatment. Fobbed off with agency staff who don't care and are incompetent.
Terrible. Why are they in existence?

I’ve had a very bad experience. I’m sure I’m not the only one. These people claim to want to support and help those with mental illness. I’m certain they’d much rather see us perish. They seem to put all of the responsibility and blame onto others. So many lies and cover-ups it’s a farce.
terrible service as soon as you walk in door

suffering from mental health issues staff have major inability to take a bit of time and actually talk to you, just tick box service and see you next time (in 2 months) thus left to deal with it alone
Rude staff who are unable to deal with people

Suffering from mental health illness and the inability to deal with distress and stress I've been treated poorly by receptionist, duty staff and manager to the point of being left in a terrible state which I couldn't manage.
Appalling- continuity, service and contact

Service doesn't even answer the phone
Unattractive, uninviting waiting area and meeting rooms - high windows, no fresh air - building not fit for purpose - take a lessons from Haymills Reception décor!
Lack of privacy in reception and some unprofessionally behaving receptionists
Rooms never available on arrival and constant interrupting for others to have room before finished - unprofessional and client not felt valued
Records of contact not kept, acted on, or inaccurate.
Left to get on with it and no help received
Lack of continuity in staff appointed for care
Still waiting for next contact to be made by assigned Care co after 9mths
Promises made of help and information and not received
Patients not kept informed of anything
Information not studied before meeting clients and/or forgotten, requiring repeated repetition by client - unprofessional and demeaning
Inappropriate comments made to clients by recently appointed Psychiatrist - you shouldn't feel/think like that ..... you should stop doing..... etc
Visitors toilets not kept clean enough - no toilet seat for years!!!
