They need to talk to each other better
April 7, 2025
I was asked to have a phone call with the nurse but when I asked reception she said you will have to ring, and I sadly felt it was said with a bit of an attitude. I just wonder why can't the staff liaise with each other better rather than the patient getting involved. But this was the only negative I have everything else is ok with the surgery on the whole.
When you are ill you need help quickly
April 4, 2025
I started to become unwell while I was away on holiday, when I got home I was signposted to the pharmacy and they signposted me to the GP. At my surgery you get two chances to get an appointment 08.30 and 12.30, of course each time you ring you are in a queue, I phoned at 12.15 and at 12.20 I then got through and was told that I was 3 minutes early by the person on the end of the phone who I felt was rather rude which you really dont need when you are feeling unwell, I managed to get an appointment on the phone and they gave me some antibiotics, I was still unwell and after the course I phoned again this time the person on the phone was nicer and also this time I got a face to face with the doctor, they gave me 10 days of steroids. I'm still not 100 percent but getting there. The issue is you cannot choose who you want to see, you get who you are given and the attitude of the person on the phone makes a difference. I had to wait a whole week before they would give me a blood test.
Generally good
April 4, 2025
I had to monitor my blood pressure for 7 days but when they sent me a link to enter the detals in the insert form was not set up for enough days! I usually access the surgery via the online platform Accurix it is generally good, staff are good here both clinical and non clinical.
Well women clinics
March 26, 2025
I have a concern in regard to services for women, they seem to be missing in Suffolk generally in all GP surgeries. We used to get Well Women check up clinics, now it seems they have stopped calling up for this, why? and is this across all surgeries like I believe it is? Having a Well Woman check up used to be very reassuring but now it is missing.
Blood results would be better via phone
January 30, 2025
I would like to receive my blood test result over the phone, I have been told that reception is not allowed to give results, instead I have to make an appointment to see the GP to get this which seems to me a waste of appointment. It doesnt leave the patient in a reassured place.

The support provided by the surgery for my mental health has been very good.
Reception staff are 'out of this world'
December 2, 2024
The reception staff team are 'out of this world' they are respectful, talk to me properly they treat me like a human being. I have only seen one doctor and I did find that they were a bit stern in their approach but could not question the medical treatment. The nurse I saw was lovely with a good attitude. The surgery seems to have a lovely calm atmosphere when you walk in there. Access is good and you can sometimes get same day appointments. I saw the paramedic previously and he was first class in his approach and treatment.
Difficult to see a lady GP
December 2, 2024
I find that its a very long wait to get an appointment these days. I'm not at all keen that the reception staff always ask so many questions beforehand when you phone up to be seen. Its become much harder to see a lady GP if you need to. I find that GP's don't seem to know enough about women's health issues.
Can't fault them
June 27, 2023
I can't fault them. The attitude of the staff is good and I feel that some of them know me well. I have always been happy with the medical staff. Getting an appointment is ok for me. I find that when I really need them they 'come up trumps'. They really looked after my husband when he was alive.
