Told different things

March 14, 2025
Unfortunately it does seem to depend who you talk to, what you are told and how you can access appointments. There are some that imply that the only way to get appointments is by going online and using Anima, whereas others will take details over the phone. Once you are seen though the care is good.

Frustrating

March 14, 2025
We've found it frustrating that because we only have one email address for us as a couple and because it is in my husbands name they won't allow that to be used for me to register for Anima. Each time I then contact the surgery I'm told to go online which I can't do. I get there may be concerns but there should be a way of coping when families have just one email address, whether it's a patient giving written consent.

See the paramedic

March 14, 2025
I mainly see the paramedic when I need appointments rather than a GP. I'm now 5 months on and still receiving ongoing treatment with no massive improvement. The member of staff though is lovely but I do wonder whether I should be seeing a GP now.

Disappointed

March 14, 2025
I went in to the surgery to arrange an appointment but was told I needed to go online, when I asked if I could call I was told again I needed to go online so I'm not sure what I should do now when I need an appointment.

Warning message with Anima

March 14, 2025
When I've had contact with the surgery it has been fine. However, when I've used Anima recently I get a warning message that it's not safe to proceed.

Not easy

December 6, 2024
The way it's set up at the moment discourages me from contacting the surgery. You see one GP then another and they seem to have differing ideas so there is no consistency. Its frustrating that you can't get support when you need it. To get to a physio referral has been difficult as they have so little time, I didn't realise I could self refer.

Lost faith

December 6, 2024
Have to phone dead on 8am and even then it is so difficult to see someone, probably not helped by the lack of GPs at the surgery. Keep being asked to go online even when I've told them I don't use online, they don't seem to like it when you're not online. If urgent you're told to call 111 and I've lost a bit of faith in the system and with the additional houses going up it will only get worse.

Paramedic pleasant

November 29, 2024
I saw one doctor and they refused to contact the pain clinic for me but then I saw a different doctor and they did which was good. The paramedic is pleasant when you see them but it is more difficult to see a GP.

Confusing

November 29, 2024
Appointments are available in no more than 2 weeks but poor information is given about when appointments can be booked, its just confusing. I had a scan of my liver but has had no feedback about why or what is happening.
