Blood tests

Why can't the surgery do blood tests at the surgery, they wont offer this service to anyone it would seem no matter how old or frail they are. Not everyone can get on a bus and go to Sudbury or the hospital.

Its very rare I go to the doctors, but more recently I needed to and the GP I saw on both occasions was the most unhelpful person I had ever met, not to mention slightly rude, kept repeating "what do you expect me to do".
Condescending reception staff inconsistent

Staff don’t care and can’t get appointment until 6-8 weeks! Been ill for ten years now and getting worse, still no further forward!

Severe reaction to prescribed drug resulting in allergy rash, advised to seek urgent Dr's appointment. Forced to use walk in centre at Colchester where Dr was shocked that could not get appointment with own Dr.
Appointments work well; short waiting time

Fairly new to the surgery, the transfer of records from our old surgery went well and getting appointments so far has been good. Better than our last surgery, especially around waiting times.

Getting appointment is difficult

Getting appointment is difficult. I was given a call back when I couldn't have an appointment recently and the issue was dealt with on the phone.
Very caring staff

The staff are very caring, efficient and helpful. I have a regular dermatology appointment and I needed a minor operation to remove a growth on my back. The appoint for West Suffolk Hospital came through in a few days. I have a number of these removed over the years and it is comforting to know that this service is available and put into practice.
Can get appointments when needed

Staff are good and do what they can to help. Can get appointments when needed and don't really struggle to get through on the phone either.

Staff are very helpful. I tend to visit the surgery to make my appointments which works well. You don't have to wait long when ringing through either. On the odd occasion staff can be a little abrupt but generally they are good. I can get an appointment when I need one which is important.The nurses are very good, very proactive and sort out issues well. The selection of nurses with different specialisms works very well and they're very caring.
