Poor access - phoning from 8am not easy to get through

October 6, 2016
I like the staff, they look after me well, and I appreciate having plenty of free parking at and near the surgery, but frustrated by the need to ring on the day to get an appt and number of phone calls it can take to get through.

Good - but always seeing a Nurse and not a Doctor

October 6, 2016
I can't fault the quality of care or the staff I see but I have noticed that I'm always seeing a Nurse and not one of the Doctors.

I have regular blood tests for a chronic liver condition, always finding it difficult afterwards to book a time to talk to a doctor about the results

The doctors are good, but will never use language line

July 15, 2016
Good doctors, but they will not use the language line, which is a problem.. To book an appointment I walk to the surgery as the phone line is always engaged. The doctors are good, but will never use language line. I use my little English for my mother's appointments or, if they are after school, my children help translate. Once the doctor agreed to phone my friend to translate. My elderly mother has severe heart problems and is under the hospital.

Excellent

Care provided is good. Staff attitude is good including reception, who are helpful. Doctors will spend extra time with you if needed

Long but understandable wait

April 19, 2016
I took my son to the doctors recently and we had an hour and a quarter wait past our appointment time. The doctor did apologise and I can understand that emergencies had taken priority and with only one doctor on duty it delayed appointments. I have been visiting a lot recently but the general care I've had has been good.

I guess it is OK

I guess that the surgery is OK but waiting times and the way reception staff speak to me could be better.

very difficult to get an appointment

February 24, 2016
When trying to get an appointment you phone at 8am only to be told all appointments are gone and to call at 1pm. When you call then you're then told none are available and that you should've called at 8am. There are appointments theoretically that can be booked in advance too but when I've tried this none are available either. When I last tried to get an appointment it took a week to get to see someone and it really does depend who you speak to. I don't particularly like the reliance on telephone consultations rather than actual appointments.
