Awful

I was discharged without any notice and abandoned at a crucial time in my life when I needed support.

Wife abandoned during a mental health crisis

May 18, 2023
After constant appointment cancellations by my wife's CPN I made a complaint, despite my complaint being listened to nothing has come of it. No contact has been made since February. My wife's cpn went behind her back (and not informing her) and decided to take my wife off waiting lists she had been on since covid times, this was only brought to light when we called to complain. An appointment was made with a psychologist but this was cancelled by letter and again no more contact made. I called again a few weeks ago to be told we would be contacted but again nothing. My wife is left in limbo with no mental health support during a really bad patch

Very good

I had a bout of depression followed by other mental health symptoms and I was promptly spoken to (next day) by the primary care nurse and also a week later a call from the team to put a care plan together for me. I then was given an appointment to see the consultant psychiatrist 2 weeks later. The consultant was excellent and I felt like I had all the time do discuss my problems and they now have a treatment plan in place for me with a follow up in 7 weeks. I do feel looked after when I needed it most

Disgusting service

February 2, 2023
Was given a care coordinator in November then an appt was booked to see her and a psychologist beginning of December. Due to staff illness this appt was cancelled. I have no care coordinator and I haven't had a replacement appt with a psychologist and it's now February. I've been left to suffer all this time. I was better before I was referred to this service as its caused me nothing but stress. The only thing that has been dealt with is my medication but no support other than this. I'm appalled at the service I haven't received. How am I supposed to get better with no help?

Utterly disgusting service.

November 30, 2022
I was referred to the service by my gp. Took 3 months to get an appointment. I suffer with high anxiety from g.a.d. I got to my appointment ten minutes early as asked. The "doctor" took his sweet time and kept me waiting 20 minutes. He had no patient or anything keeping him from seeing me. When he was finally ready, he told me he had a colleague with him. Even though I had already told him personally if anything like that was to happen on an appointment to please be told in advance. Absolutely enraged and tired of not being listened to.

Told to call if you are in need

November 22, 2022
No one ever calls back. This is my community mental health team. Face to face appointments are not bad, although time is wasted and I'm not sure how seriously I am taken. But that is nothing compared to being told you can always call if you need support, if you are struggling. The phone is answered by a receptionist and a callback promised - a total of 4 times I have not been called back. It takes so much to ask for help when you have a severe mental illness - everything in your mind tells you that you don't deserve help. So when you reach out, and you even follow up, over and over until you give up and you have no support, it's horrific and disgusting and not okay.

Treated like a second class citizen

October 11, 2022
Was in and out of services for years and had positive experiences with certain staff but receptionists were often rude, professionals would walk past without making eye contact, made to feel a burden and a liar. Moved to Bury South who treat me with dignity and respect, and everyone is friendly including the receptionists.

Have been left without support 4 months

July 20, 2022
My CareCo left in April 2022 and they have not replaced her so I have no support at all. No contact from IDT to let me know what is happening. I go to crisis and crisis contact them to contact me and they don't. Have had to ring constantly and still no one gets back to me.

Was sent by post that they were putting me on a zoom weekly managing your emotions course. no call or explanation and the content of the letter triggered a self harm episode as it was totally innapropriate. I have diagnosed BPD and PTSD - they have now referred me to a domestic violence victim support but after 3 weeks have again heard nothing.

When I ring to chase no one gets back to me. I've put in PALS complaints but have not had any action or contact from this. the psychologist kindly spoke to me but only offered referral. I need support and feel totally invisible. they have actually exasserbated my condition. I lose time and am having black outs but no one is helping me deal with this or manage it. I also have treatement for cancer. If the oncology team ignored my calls there would be an outrage. Why is this not the same with mental health?
