Hopeless from start to finish

January 27, 2020
Finally got our discharge letter full of errors. Slightly concerned they state 'they were unable to locate this gentleman (Dr name removed) or find where his practice is' the first 10 hits I got when searching in Google were either his details or where to buy his books.

The IDT have again shown me there is no community service for someone with an illness like mine - it's go private or suffer in silence until it gets so bad it's hospitalisation. Luckily I currently receive PIP so can pay for private care - although this is now up for renewal.

I am concerned to read the lady incharge of my case is a senior mental health nurse as her communication is poor, she seems to struggle with IT skills and has a lack of understanding of my illness and no real interest in helping.

Still no discharge

September 14, 2019
T weeks after telling me I was never discharged in April I've not recieved any papers or anything to state I am now discharged. Not yet heard from Perenatal not sure if that's due to this or not.

At least I know the tests I need in pregnancy and that my gps happy to do them. Would be interested to know if they are still claiming money for me as they haven't provided any care since I was refered at the start of the year - just meetings to jump through the hoops to show I needed the service.

No better than 7 years ago

August 9, 2019
Firstly they agreed to discharge me in April (after I'd spent months trying to get to see someone following depression episode) never did get to see anyone as episode over with help of gp before I jumped through the hoops to see them. I wonder if there was a financial benefit to keeping me registered?

Now found out as I'm pregnant. Told me they want to be involved as Perenatal only support for 10 days (que panic as I was ill after last child and let down (again) by bury north) on trying to find a private physiciatrist to look after me we found out the 1 year after baby was correct and I will be looked after by Perenatal - so why don't our care cos need this? Panic over will Bury North dischage me this time??

Complete overall of services still needed even 7 years after my first contact.

We will give you a call. No call

March 22, 2019
Not really a surprise but I was re refered to mental health by my go back in jan. Many weeks of waiting and I see the access and then more waiting. A couple of weeks ago I see bury north who will call me Monday to confirm what they will do (that was almost 3 weeks ago) I'm still waiting............... So my for my go wanting a phusiciatrist to review my meds. Sadly given previous experience with the team it's not a surprise. Not attempted to call but I've been known to ring daily in the past and No one calls back.

Care coordinator leaves you for weeks without any contact. If you phone to speak to your coordinator they either don’t get the message or don’t bother to call back.

We are very sorry to hear that you have had a negative experience in relation to contact with your care co-ordinator and the time they have been able to give you
Our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) will be able to look into this on your behalf, but they would need more information about you to identify the team you are with and the team manager to approach.
PALS can be contacted via pals@nsft.nhs.uk; phone: 01603 421191 or BT Freephone: 0800 279 7257. The PALS office is open 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Outside these hours you can leave a message on our PALS voicemail which we aim to respond to the next working day.

No consistency in your care.

Lack of information about what they can offer you in terms of therapy. Some therapy groups are run with more staff than patients. Why? They are not reaching out to the people who would benefit. Never expect an answer if you phone Idt office they haven't any idea what's going on and only take messages. Total let down. Some good therapists but useless administration supporting them.
