Pretty good

I think this surgery is pretty good really, I can usually get through to them ok, you do have to phone at 8am and sit in a queue but I can usually get an appointment to see the nurse practitioner quite quickly, if you want to see a GP that is harder.

Pressure to go online

When you contact the surgery there is pressure to go online to request an appointment. I've been told there are only two doctors on, one working from home. This means most issues are dealt with by phone and I've been told to call back the next day as there are no appointments available that day. Some staff aren't overly friendly when speaking to them on the phone. It's very difficult to take phone calls especially at work so it make the whole process more challenging.

Struggled a bit

Struggled to get to see a doctor, they ask for pictures and then give antibiotics but it's not solved the problem and I just seem to go round in circles with no progress.

Ring back is difficult

I wish that I could get an appointment time for the ring back phone call made by the GP, I need to sit by the phone all day for the call back otherwise I might miss it, I do find this difficult. Once you are able to get seen at the surgery they are good, I dont always need to see the GP.

Told I needed a phone consult weeks ago

45 minutes in a queue to be told none available and would have to keep trying daily regardless of work commitments, no effort made by them to find a solution or to book not on the day.

Impossible to speak to a doctor

Ring at 8am, wait in queue for 35 minutes only to be told all routine appointments have gone. Only day off work and have to call on the day. Now got to do it all again next week. I am a menopausal woman with fibromyalgia that manages to work but can’t get an appointment, very unhelpful

The only thing I would say is "we need to get appointments to see the Doctors. The booking system needs updating ASAP. Also the Web site is a bit old fashion needs updating.

I have been very satisfied with the practice for 41 years until 2 years ago when the response to an early morning call for an appointment starting at 8am could take 20 mins then all appointments had gone. If contact was made a " care navigator " would decide on if/when seeing a doctor or nurse . Also the staff could be surly. A massive change from the experience of the first 41 years at the practice. A shame.

Initial same-day appointment: medication prescribed: quick hopital appointment (minor surgery): 70 daily nurses appointments including Bluebird Lodge at week-ends. Outstanding care.
