I like having both surgery sites as I can arrange appointments at either and the staff are great. Reception are helpful and doctors and nurses have been very good. I've been impressed by the paramedic who visited a family member at home.

At times it is hard to get specific dates and when getting to the surgery is more difficult. The care and treatment from the doctors is good and the support provided by the team is very good. I'm happy to see any one who is available but I do like to try and see the same GP if possible.

I got an appointment really quickly and the staff have all been very helpful. I tend to phone for appointments and may be wait a few minutes on the line but then I've been given an appointment the same day. The opening hours are great and nothing needs to change.
No problems

Very easy to get an appointment when needed. I've been able to see a female doctor when requested and staff are good when talking to them. I like that you can go to either here or Shotley for appointments and the hours that appointments are available are good and accommodating. Its a very clean surgery and I'm happy here.

After calling 111 last night I've found it very easy to get an appointment this morning. I've been seen quickly and I've been very happy with the person I've seen.
More challenging

It is more challenging to get an appointment than years ago and there is a queue on the phone. I've been able to get morning appointments but if I've wanted to book for after lunch I've not been able to arrange it and when you call later on there are no appointments available. The flexibility is limited when you're working but care is good.

Always found it very good. I'm a long term resident and never had any problems. The opening hours are very convenient and everyone at the surgery is very nice. I call for appointments, the waiting times vary a bit but nothing major and nothing really needs to change.

It is very busy and I've been told to call back the next day when no appointments are available but when you do get in to see someone the care is very good. Sometimes it's the way things are said by staff that is concerning.
Would prefer to attend Holbrook

I do get rather annoyed to be shuttled off to Shotley when I live far closer to Holbrook, its very inconvenient, there isn't any local transport to help me out. There seem to be less doctors now. The reception staff are ok at Holbrook as are the dispensary who are quite responsive.
Phone system terrible

Find the phone system terrible. They say to ring at 8am or 1pm. You are really long in the queue. I do have a life and need to get on with things rather than be on 'hold' for an age. It is frustrating and ridiculous!
