Everything under one roof

November 9, 2023
It is convenient to get everything under one roof here. Covid/flu vaccinations. Blood tests and just next to a pharmacy. Parking is easy too. We feel very fortunate. My only improvement here, is that I wish they had a clock in the waiting room

No fuss service

November 8, 2023
We called to have a skin issue looked at and they did not ask for photo's, they just knew we were worried. It is not fuss due to that, they always see you if you prefer it. We feel very lucky.

Change in who seeing

November 8, 2023
Not seeing who I expected and the screen showed a different name when I checked in which threw me. They have been running late at this appointment by 15 minutes thus far so I hope there is no mix up.
Access in general is very good.

feel fortunate to be here

November 8, 2023
This surgery is excellent and I feel fortunate to be here, as I never have issues in getting appointments. They are pleasant and have a good phone manner.
If I need to see a GP, I see one, but I also see other staff who also sort out my issue.

Called on the day and get an appointment that addressed my concerns. I feel looked after and they are thorough. The issue is ongoing but I have every confidence they will look after me.

This is an excellent service and getting the flu vaccination for the children was easy and the team were helpful. I find that receptionists are very pleasant and helpful too.

Exceptional service

October 30, 2023
On holiday in southwold I phoned at 8am for an appointment about an urgent eye problem. Superb receptionist organised everything, saw a fine doctor an hour later and obtained on site medication. Unheard of in the West Midlands, where often the GP practice doesn’t even answer the phone!

poor communication putting health at risk

June 28, 2023
I enquired about getting a spring Covid booster by visiting the health centre in April. The receptionist informed me I would be invited to receive one in due course. At the end of June I discovered by chance that the vaccination programme was about to end. When I rang up to enquire why I had heard nothing the receptionist informed me that a text had been sent on June 1. It transpired that this had gone to a mobile phone number I had ceased using years before. I pointed out that all previous communications from this health centre had been by letter or landline phone. The receptionist was brusque and defensive and I was left to feel that this the problem was entirely my fault. Further, they had run out of vaccines.

Refused to see relative

March 30, 2023
We had a family member on holiday with us and they needed medical attention. They refused to see them (reception) and told us to 'take them to their own surgery,' Well that was impossible as it was not exactly close by (not in England). We rang their surgery who told us what we should say to them, and we used the correct 'sentences'. They then saw them, but it should not have been like that. It was unnecessarily stressful and a shocking bedside manner by people who were on the telephone.

I find the surgery unresponsive to suggestions given, such as having a clock in the waiting area. Many would find that quite a normal request, but they said 'well WE do not want one.'
