We arrived rather late yesterday for a blood test. The Lovely nurses and nhs courier stayed to do it even though they were ready to go home.
District nurses provide good care

The care and treatment provided is good but it has been very difficult to get home visits for them to dress my legs. I've been told to keep my legs up for 90% of the day and they say they only do house calls for people who can not leave their home.

The systems works well and the young lady doing the blood test was excellent.

Very good midwives, don't feel the communication with the hospital team has been great.

This centre would be a truly wonderful asset to Sudbury if the Receptionists stopped talking amongst themselves and did what they are supposed to do. I have now visited on 3 separate occasions and on each time have received/witnessed the most unhelpful service they can muster. In fact it has been so dire, it has been laughable - "computer says no" and Basil Fawlty spring to mind. On 2 of the occasions I have had to help elderly people use the blood test machine because the receptionists were sitting with their backs to everyone moaning about their duties. Today on my visit they were doing the same whilst an elderly couple were trying to work the machine to no avail. However this time they were discussing an experience of a meal out.
Accessing is difficult

To access the health centre is difficult I need to use either two buses, which is more difficult now that one of the buses has stopped, or I'm reliant on the community volunteer drivers to help me to get there.

When visiting the surgery I always find everyone very caring, efficient and helpful (I have asthma and recently developed a little speech problem (I talk too much!).

Went to physiotherapist today, excellent service. I was horrified to see a confectionary and drinks machine in the waiting area, which was being used at 9.30 am. This seems contrary to providing a 'health' service.
Old system was better.

Generally quite good; waits aren't overly long. The waiting times as a walk in patient are quite long. Felt that the old system worked well and was better than current one.
