GP Federation (Suffolk)

Suffolk GP Federation provides a range of NHS services to patients such as lymphoedema nursing, community based ultrasound, cardiology clinics and a diabetes service for North East Essex. We also run Suffolk GP+, which provides routine appointments for patients in the evenings, at weekends and Bank Holidays. We also manage several services in alliance with Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust, West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, Suffolk County Council and Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust. These include podiatry, fracture prevention, bowel and bladder, stoma and the Felixstowe Minor Injuries Unit.

Great podiatry staff

Used to be seen in Hadleigh but now go over to Chantry. Staff have been great and have pick up on issues that mum has had. They have then arranged for follow up treatment a couple of weeks later.

The nurses that visit are brilliant, just wish there were more of them so more appointments were available. They are so supportive and informative.

I did a very quick self referral online for the podiatry service and although I don't use online systems that much I managed to upload the photos that were needed. So far I've been very happy with the service and how quickly I was given an appointment.

The appointment was arranged and I was offered different appointment options. The staff were good and I was given the results there and then. It would've helped if they could've given a bit of a more in depth explanation about what would happen next.

The actual service is good but the pads that are supplied vary in quality each time they change the brand and they just seem to get worse. I'm only allocated 4 pads per 24 hours and I'm told to just sleep in a dirty one. It would make more sense if the allocation was done on the individuals condition. Over the last year I've had to find the money do buy better pads as they've been so poor.

I have regular appointments arranged by my GP and it always pretty easy and runs smoothly. It's all pre booked which makes it so much better.

A lovely place

I got my appointment very quickly and the specialist seemed very knowledgable, but they were kind and that made a difference. This was the sort of place where I would want to work . Good parking close by too which is always useful.

My check ups are done on time and although the service offered is a little more limited than in Cambridgeshire it all works well and does what is needed.
