GP Federation (Suffolk)

Suffolk GP Federation provides a range of NHS services to patients such as lymphoedema nursing, community based ultrasound, cardiology clinics and a diabetes service for North East Essex. We also run Suffolk GP+, which provides routine appointments for patients in the evenings, at weekends and Bank Holidays. We also manage several services in alliance with Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust, West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, Suffolk County Council and Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust. These include podiatry, fracture prevention, bowel and bladder, stoma and the Felixstowe Minor Injuries Unit.

Great support

Great that they visited and provided lots of information and were very reassuring. I really can't fault the care and support provided after my operation. The advice was very good and they explained what to expect.

Stoma nurse has been very good, I know who to call if something is a concern. I do feel I miss out on some information as I had my operation in Colchester and not Ipswich. Getting the bags is now a longer process so I need to get more organised so I can order them in plenty of time, the older system was much easier.

Diabetic foot care is wonderful

I see the podiatrist very regularly due to being a diabetic and the care and treatment provided is wonderful. I see the same staff member each time I go and she knows my feet and looks after them really well.
