Discharged without antibiotics

'*' was discharged from Newmarket Hospital to the care of Cleves Place Care Home. '*' usual medication was handed over to the homes staff. '*' family informed the home later that day that '*' was taking antibiotics whilst in hospital, to treat a 'UTI'. The hospital was contact and they confirmed this but said they are unable to send them and advised to ring '111'. Out of Hours service was contacted, they stated a Doctor would visit the resident that night. At 00.45am 111 called back to say they will not see the resident and to contact GP in the morning. The resident was at that time in the process of being registered with a new GP in Haverhill, having come from Newmarket previously.
Staff were very friendly and reassuring

They are always wonderful at this hospital-the 'human face' is very good. I have attended a number of clinics and the care is good. A much valued community amenity!! There is even a cafe there and it is pretty good as well.

Patient visited this service to get the results of brain scan and blood tests to diagnose the type of dementia she has. All tests done at West Suffolk hospital. Now wishing for another appointment.

I get wonderful care from the doctor and chemist who deliver my medicine each month. I am 81 years old and am visited by SRN. I find the help and care given by doctors wonderful.

I get wonderful care from Dr (name removed), Lloyds chemist - who deliver my medicine each month. As I studied nursing, I have SRW, and I am now 81 years old. I find the held and care given by Dr (name removed) wonderful, also have a wonderful family who also care.

Very good hospital, friendly - free parking. Had an operation at 8 am. very efficient

I suffer dr and needle anxitey - I was unable to allow the regular dentist to do my filling so was refered and had it done by a very friendly dentist and dr (for sedation) who were caring and understanding but did not hand around and get me stressed but answered all my questions.

What is not so good about this hospital is the lack of an A & E department. Even a little one would be good
