Very good service

December 11, 2024
We use Pinewood and Derby road and we find them to be very good. I phone up reception and usually get a call back the same day on the odd occasion it is the next day which is usually fine. Treatment we have received has been very good. The staff are kind and pleasant, I am a family carer and it makes a difference how people are with you.

Mixed

At times there has been a bit of a lack of information which can be frustrating at times. They have done a referral quickly when I've seen them recently which was good.

Good doctors

December 6, 2024
It is difficult to get appointments with doctors but the surgery has been really on the ball with vaccinations. Once you see someone they are good and I like that contacting the surgery online is an option not a must.

Disappointing

December 6, 2024
Feel that I have to them get them to believe that I'm not making it up as I don't feel I'm being taken seriously. The issues I have started in 2021 but they've flared up again . It's just disappointing that it feels so dismissive.

Paramedic good

December 6, 2024
More difficult to see the doctors who mainly seem to be locums, you do get appointments with the paramedic who is very good but mainly they are with the nurses. I did an Ask My GP but the immediate response was that I should refer myself to physio but I'm not sure it's a physio issue. I probably should've gone back and said that but I've done the referral and will see what happens.

Great

I did an online submission and was seen the same day by a doctor. I felt well listened to and they gave me some pain medication and then referred me on to physio.

Not so easy now

November 29, 2024
It is more difficult to get through on the phone and access to appointments is worse than it used to be but at least you are able to speak to the staff at the desk to arrange things.

Not confident with using online

October 31, 2024
I cannot explain everything that I need to on the online form in writing, so how can they tell what is wrong if they dont get the full picture to make a correct assessment, I am sure things will get missed. I feel a bit railroaded to use online and I am not really listened to by the practice, it feels frustrating. I had a severe ear pain recently and I did the form and because I missed the phone call from the GP because I was laying down, that was it they didnt call back!

They push for using online

October 31, 2024
I find that this surgery pushes for me to use online to access the surgery all the time and truthfully I am not that good with IT and I would much prefer to ring, it seems unfair how they are with this. My mum's surgery do blood tests at the surgery but for mine they send me everytime all the way down to Landseer Road and I sometimes have to wait for a long time to get an appointment. Need to be more patient focussed I think.

Asked for face to face appointment

July 9, 2024
Went the normal process of Ask my GP. To request a face to face. As I am not able to use my phone at work. Sounds reasonable, but because the GP could not get a response from my phone they closed the request when I requested a face to face appointment. This is not useful.
