I recd a leaflet through door

November 22, 2023
I went to register and was asked to complete a form in the back garden in a marquee in February! Didn't hear until later in year was asked if I wanted to register privately as no longer taking NHS. I am post stroke and disabled. NHS dentist are a rare thing. I didn't appreciate the 'don't call us 'as I was waiting months, then in October had to make decision to go elsewhere and register private! Also not nice being herded into marquee to write out form in Winter!

Rushed/Rude

November 19, 2023
It was a bad experience. Rushed in and out without proper care. Cancelled appointment within cancellation period and was removed from list. Tried to appeal but spoken to very rudely by manager. Later identified elsewhere they had missed important work to be done

Registering for nhs dental services

November 18, 2023
Practice responded to second email following a phone call to ask for attendance in person to complete registration form. Attended and completed form but do not know if accepted and no appointment offered. Been waiting since end of August 2023, gave email to ask if timeframe, no response, the practice has raised hopes then dashed them

I was struck off during Covid

November 18, 2023
I went to book an appointment after Covid and was told I had been taken off their books, and there was no space to put me back on. I received no information that they were thinking of taking me off the books. There was no consideration of Covid and was just told it was tough.

Good service but want NHS say cannot offer

November 18, 2023
I want NHS but have been told cannot have as already registered. They say they want to help the community. I am in the community.

Elderly Father taken off books

November 18, 2023
My elderly Father had been at Tavern Street Dental practice since the 1980’s
He missed an appointment due to not being reminded.
When I phoned on his behalf they said they don’t phone or write anymore only email.
As he doesn’t have internet that would be impossible!
Then was told he missed an appointment in 2003 that’s ridiculous!
He has had heart surgery and cancer in his tongue.
All things that could cause impact on his teeth and mouth and be kept an eye on.
He is also on pension credit so limited income.
Just to be told he no longer has a Dentist has caused him much anguish and distress.
He has been let down by Tavern Street.
Reason technology!

Registration process should not be allowed

September 12, 2023
I rung to register as comes up as my nearest place to register. I live in Dereham Norfolk. Told I can't register on the phone. Each adult has to come in person to register. Took time off work with my husband and we drove down (1.5hours each way) to be told they had registered their quota for the day and had closed registration - no indication of this other than a piece of paper on the front door and I had rung in the morning. Drove down again first thing in the morning (3 hour round trip another morning off work) to register. This was in February. In July I rung to see how far up the waiting list I was and was told I'm still on the waiting list and all fine but if I haven't heard by August to ring again. Rung again in September to be told they are taking on 6000 patients and on the registration form it says that if they can't get you an appointment within 6 months they will shred your registration form and not contact you and this is what happened to my form. So I'm not registered, had no idea and could have been on a waiting list somewhere that is actually going to see me. How are they allowed to do this? Why are they doing this? Surely this is amoral

Disappointed

August 29, 2023
I was unregistered when I tried to cancel an appointment by phone when I was too unwell to attend but couldn't get though with the phone not answered. I thought the next best thing would be to email to let staff know but because I did this and didn't speak to them they took me off their books.

In Tears

August 9, 2023
Was told I've been taken off their NHS list having cancelled a few years ago due to COVID (not my fault) and second cancellation was because my Mum had died in early hours of my appointment day, I offered to pay in full but they didn't listen or even say sorry for your loss, just told sorry you can't come back as it's your second cancellation.
