Had to cancel an appointment due to illness .

This cancellation was classed as a late cancellation as was outside 48 hours (I did not know that I was about to become very ill in advance!)! I have now recovered and tried to rebook an NHS appointment to be advised without prior warning that I had been removed from the practice list... it was understanding that a prior warning must be given first.

The Doctor and his assistant were just the sort of professional people one expects to meet in a really good dental surgery. As an octogeneraian who has travelled the world, I've seen a great many dentists in my time and I would certainly rate the Tavern Street team as one of the best!*

Having moved my hygienist appointment to Tuesday this week(July 19th) at the practice's request I then tried to move the appointment when I realised how hot it would be on Tuesday. Receptionist said I would have to pay £54 cancellation charge to move the appointment as it was less than 48hours before the appointment. When I pointed out I had moved at their request answer given was "Nobody pressurised you to change"

I went to book a check up appointment today but was told I can no longer be seen as an NHS patient because I cancelled a private hygienist appointment last year. I called and left a message in the answerphone which they didn’t pick up. I was charged for the appointment and have now paid it under duress. I have been told today that even though I have paid for the appointment they didn’t cancel that I can no longer be an NHS patient because of this cancellation and a cancellation I made (and rebooked) in 2018 when the current owners didn’t even own the practise. I feel terribly sorry for the poor ladies on reception who have to deal with such poor policies every day. While I was waiting there was another lady being told that because she had covid and had to cancel her appointment that she could no longer be seen either. An absolute disgrace of a company who seem to only want private patients and the rest of us can be struck off.

Have recently been able to join the practice. Staff worked hard to make sure you're seen in what has been an incredibly difficult time for all services. Was seen quickly, and happy with the treatment received.

Tried to cancel my appointment via email and phone call over 48hrs before appointment. I received no acknowledgement of receiving the email. tried to call serval times too constantly gets cut off, or receive message receptionist is busy call back in 10 mins. tried several time and i keep getting the same message.

I have been a patient here for 3 years and I have always been well looked after and found everyone at the practice to be professional and friendly. I am a nervous patient and they have always put me at ease.
Rude staff on reception

Couldn't attend because of the lockdown, missed my 6 monthly check up as couldnt get appointment so they've refused me nhs treatment. Reception staff are rude and unpleasant.
