Okay but prolonged wait for a bed

Waters went but nothing happened so booked for induction at 5am following day but there wasn’t a bed on labour suite so waited until 3pm for anything to happen- caused anxiety as they had said baby should be delivered within 24hrs as had strep b in previous pregnancy. I also had gestational diabetes - such a long wait for all my clinic appointments and growth scans- hours late. (And the scans were so off anyway so that was waste of time- told baby would be 9lb which caused anxiety, but was actually 7.1lb)

I felt really looked after, I was so nervous about giving birth but was properly taken care of from the minute I entered the hospital till the minute we left. Can’t fault the care I received

The staff at west Suffolk we’re amazing!!! They kept me calm all the way through my labour and emergency c section. It wasn't until the day after my baby was born we were due to be discharged late morning but they forgot about us, we wasn’t checked on all day and it wasn’t until 7pm that they realised we was still there even though our requests all day to talk to someone about being discharged.

The consultant was abrupt and did not like questions or debate.
The treatment was active surveillance ( ca prostate ) but the blood test results did not get relayed to hospital so no surveillance was being done at all - that meant psa was rising and not being monitored and was almost too late to use the preferred treatment - scanner was out of date and therefore had to make an appointment to have another scan in London privately - neither the urology department consultant or GP liked being challenged on either matter - stressful and negligent. Urology department nurses good but apart from that very upsetting experience

I had all my scans and antenatal appointments when I should've had them and it was all done really well. I was induced and had really great care throughout. Staff were really knowledgeable and helpful.

I've had an amazing surgeon, received very quick treatment with operations, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. The Macmillan support has been amazing with localised support.

Made our own way to A&E when no ambulance was available. When we arrived it didn't appear to be very busy, no queues of ambulances or people waiting to be seen in A&E. The treatment the staff provided was very good and they started anticoagulant medications very quickly as I had a blood clot.

The care received following my wife's operation has been wonderful and can not fault the staff on the ward. The parking though is difficult.

I recognise they are very busy but they do seem disorganised at times. Luckily we do not need to visit very often at the moment and support is in place.

We took mum to hospital when there was no ambulance to take her. She was admitted to the ward and the care provided was great. She didn't have to stay very long but they addressed all the issues, very pleased.
