Although I was not ready to be induced and I did express this, the care I received was good, particularly when I got to the labour ward. I was in hospital for 6 days for the induction generally I was happy. The midwife’s were amazing and really supportive. The only issue I had was the cleaner, I had all the curtains shut as it had been a difficult time and she just opened the curtains and cleaned the floor, didn’t ask if it was ok.
I was well look after at the delivery ward.

I had a good experience during delivery,but I wasn’t given other option for delivery early(I was induce and was in pain for more than 48hrs before I was finally given option for caesarean.
Overall all went well but I don’t think is good enough for a child that have already stop feeding through placenta for over 4days.

I came in to West Suffolk with my second baby and I had gone into Labour naturally this time. I was reassured the whole way as it felt completely different this time. The midwives were so calming and reassuring and gave me the boost I needed when I was so tired. The care we received after birth was fantastic. Nothing was too much to ask and the staff were so friendly and caring.

My middle child now 2yrs. Born 2019. My experience was awful. Left me for long periods of time. Didn’t believe me when I needed to push. No drinks offered or food. Before or after. I was left alone.
My 3rd born in 2021. My experience was fantastic. Other then the initial wait at 4am. For 3 hours, everything was smooth and very relaxing. It was a traumatic birth but my midwife was the best and I can’t thank her enough for guiding me and making me feel valued. Even though after 24+ hours of labour my patience was thin. She was patiently taking it. I apologised so much but again I felt valued.

Minutes after I had my baby I had to walk to another room as someone else wanted to use the birthing pool, I didn’t even get to hold my baby until we was settled in the room next door
I wasn't told what was going on half of Time.

No one told me what was going on. When I asked questions I didn't get straight answers. I felt like I wasn't listened to when I told midwives what was happening with my body.

I was graciously allowed my husband with me to alleviate my Complex PTSD symptoms as I gave birth. All the midwives, but especially XXX and XXXX were incredible, they completely overturned my poor experience back in 2014 and made me feel deserving of care. If I ever have another child I am certain I would have another positive experience.

I had the most wonderful experience in the delivery of my son. The midwives & medical team were lovely, we felt like everything was clearly explained to us so we could make informed decisions about our care.
