I have a great neurology and physio team and the orthotics department has been amazing.

I have had thyroid issues for years and I was referred to Addenbrokes to see an Endrochronologist to help me. They have done nothing for me, I feel so disappointed with them, they didnt look at me and as a result I do not feel cared for, I feel vulnerable with my condition and let down.

I had an aggresive tumour. After I was initially seen at West Suffolk Hospital they sent me to Addenbrokes, they saw me there monthly after and when I reached the five year mark I said to them I expect you wont see me for checks anymore?, but no I am checked every year for a kidney scan, chest x-ray and blood test which is very reassuring, thank you to all at both WSH and Addenbrokes for my diagnosis, treatment and care.

I was referred to the Eye clinic in Jan '24 but I've only just been seen in March '25. I had to travel to Hertfordshire to receive the treatment at a different clinic. I was offered the option of a closer venue but it would've meant I had to wait even longer. As I can drive still I chose to go further.

My Chart works well to receive information. I have to have regular blood tests at my surgery and the results are then sent over to the hospital. I then receive a call from the team quickly to let me know if any amendments need to be made. I like my Consultant they have always been friendly and approachable so that I can ask any questions I have.

Well listened to by Consultants and they explain what the situation was very well and answer any questions. Using My Chart is easy and make things simple with everything in one place.

I have a long term condition called Dystonia, I am under neurology and every 3 months I have bottox for eyes, neck and shoulders to help with my muscles condition. I have found the staff and consultants to be very good and I feel that they do keep a check on me.

I had very high blood pressure hypertension urgency. I was taken to ICU and admitted to the ward E4, I was very pleased with the care I received on the ward, food has improved I noticed, plenty of staff on the ward which was good to see and I had a buzzer by my bed and was told to use if I needed anything.

Communication between the hospital and my surgery is very difficult and that is the main problem when attending the hospital. The staff and care are excellent and the My Chart works really well, my latest blood results were visible on the system the following day which was great.

I had cancer treatment 10years ago and have been having scans ever since to check there is no return. However my final scan I was due to have picked up it had returned so I went back to the hospital in Birmingham to have more surgery. The annual scans I received at Addenbrookes were so reassuring, but the worry is always with you.
