Been waiting since about August for procedure
No

No theatre space for bladder botox. I can’t drink a lot as I wet myself. Staff have been on maternity leave and no one else has been able to do bladder botox. I can’t go more than a 15 minute walk as I need to wee.

From Out Patients to Day Surgery the care couldn't have been better if I had paid Privately. Everyone was outstanding.
Amazing treatment
Cancer services

Had amazing treatment and care. The discussion was followed up by a letter summarising everything. I was referred by my GP and was seen with in the week and had a biopsy arranged two days later.
Phone consultations working
November 24, 2021
The consultant has been keeping in touch with me via phone consultations and this has worked well. It also means I don't have to travel to the hospital for a short chat.
No face to face appointments
Orthopaedics

My consultant wouldn't see me face to face throughout the pandemic which I haven't liked as I find it difficult to explain where the pain is and the issues I'm experiencing. They then don't understand the full impact on your life and don't treat in the same way. I've had to really fight to be seen face to face now but I've finally been given an appointment. I'm not saying that all appointments need to be with the consultant but there is a place for them and surely it needs to be decided between the patient and the consultant not just decided by the hospital.
Treatment continued throughout

I've been having treatment for a skin cancer and everything has continued at the hospital, there has been no change to treatment which has been great. Staff have been good and I'm pleased with how it's all been going.
Told to see GP to get help in A&E
July 13, 2021
Unable to breathe. Went to hospital. Rooms dirty. Bed dirty not changed between patients. Left 4 hours in A&E despite not being able to breathe. Only 3 people in A&E. After a couple of quick tests. Told I had to see GP to be referred for lung test urgently needed. On arrival was told I was going to respiratory unit but no one took me. I was less ignored despite struggling to breathe. No DR even spoke to me in 3 hours, too busy just looking at a computer screen.

I was refused help despite being very unwell. I was just told to leave by the doctor. The cubicle I was put in was very dirty.
Cancer facilities aren't very person centered
Cancer services

During the time I have spent in this hospital I have found that this hospital's cancer facilities/wards/clinic isn't very person centered and there support is appalling and non-existent. This I have noticed is the same for others aswell as myself.
I have even requested/asked for support and still been given an excuse to why I can't have it there etc.

Staff know me well

They've been very good, I see the same staff each week and they are very supportive. They really know me and my condition so they notice when something isn't quite right which is great.
