Immuno deficiency care has been great

Care and treatment has been great and to make treatment easier they trained my daughter who is a nurse to do the weekly treatments. This has made our lives so much better.

I was referred by wish to Addenbrookes. They were faultless! Can't praise enough. Don't like the car park but Babraham Park & Ride is great.
Unable to cope with someone disabled

K Ward was unable to cope with someone disabled. It was an awful experience.

Care was excellent but communication is not good. I called urology department three times but never had a call back. Written communication is also not great. I sent a letter on 30 May a response was typed up on the 15/6 and i received the letter today 21st June. The letter was completely at odds with what I was told last Thursday which is very difficult to understand. The healthcare assistant on the ward my husband stayed on was very good and was really great with him.

On two occasions I've been let down by the hospital. They have on both occasions lacked customer/patient care or management skills. I would go back there for treatment. With off hand comments made by staff I was sent down to pre med for a discussion prior to an operation but arrived at 1615 only to be told by staff they did not have time to talk to me and to come back on Monday which is another 100 mile round trip.

My brother was transferred to the hospital following an accident and received very good care in ICU. On the Children's ward however it wasn't so good. We would have liked him to be transferred back to West Suffolk Hospital but we were told this was not possible as there were no CT scanners there. We knew there were as he had had a scan there before being transferred to Addenbrookes. Parking at Addenbrookes was very limited and cost £7.30 for two hours.

I was sent down to premed for a discussion prior to an operation but arrived at 16.15 only to be told by staff they didn't have time to talk to me and to come back on Monday which is a 100 mile round trip.

The staff were very nice and it was very hygienic but the waiting time causes you to be late for your appointment
