Really happy with my GP

I really like my GP; They have a very relaxed approach and explains things very well. I wouldn't move at all
Overall good surgery and doctor

I've seen the same doctor for years. they are very good and I like the continuity. Booking appointments using the automated system isn't my preferred option but you can speak to someone if you hang on.
Never had any problems.

Never had any problems. Never run late, no problems at all, Staff are all friendly and helpful. Seeing nurse works well with the children
Friendly, supportive, practice

From the front door, all staff in the practice work to ensure that patients are guided to the right clinical intervention / treatment whilst remaining friendly, positive and informative.
The reception staff work hard to help patients and visitors deal with appointment systems, receive accurate information about tests and get to the right clinician at the right time. The receptionists are always willing to respond positively to patient queries however off the wall they might be. I see them as approachable and cheerful in their everyday role.
The nursing team provide a knowledgeable, effective and speedy service to all patient groups.
The GP team are friendly, approachable and are focussed on achieving the best treatment for patients in a location where service provision suffers because it exists on a rural border. They are very engaged with the work of the Patient Participation Group and are happy to meet and discuss issues.
My GP makes time to listen, talks through any treatment plan and I know he is on my side and has a good understanding of the conditions I experience

Nice friendly atmosphere.

A nice friendly atmosphere. Staff are helpful. I'd prefer it if the flu jabs were given at an open day rather than only by appointment. We were given a time to go in which may not have been suitable
No problems with the surgery

No problems with the surgery. I'm able to get advice and appointments when needed. The doctors will always give you a call if needed as well.
Easy to make an appointment.

It's easy to make an appointment and the reception staff are very friendly. There have been occasions when referrals haven't been forthcoming when needed. Sometimes being friendly isn't enough. Sometimes it would be nice if the practitioners were more proactive at asking questions about problems.
Social prescribing is going on which is good; I've seen the CAB at the surgery which is great

A mixed experience
October 20, 2016
A mixed experience depending on who you see. Having phone consultations is useful but with new issues it can be difficult to get the right information over to the GP in the right way.
I was concerned about some issue but when I raised them with the doctor he made me feel that I was being silly
