Staff are outstanding-Lavenham Ward

I was in for emergency treatment and some follow up treatment too. The nursing and health care assistants staff were outstanding. My consultant was excellent too.

After having an initial Endoscopy at Ravenswood, they picked up that I had a bleeding ulcer & they called an ambulance & I went to hospital ( I cannot remember what ward/dept). They got it all under control quickly. At a later date I had to have an operation on it and had to go to Broomfield hospital Chelmsford where things were not as great.

I felt the staff could not be familiar with my fathers notes, as they were asking him questions that he could not answer as he has Alzheimer's/ dementia. As his support I felt they were abrupt with me.

I was referred for a lump to be removed, and I was in and out quickly and very well looked after for the whole time I was there.

We went into A&E and once we were initially seen we were sent through to X-Ray and was told to wait for a Doctor, which took longer than they said so I had to leave my daughter as I was having to go to another appointment. She was seen half an hour after I left. She was then referred to the fracture clinic a week later and the consultant was excellent.

On the day of my operation I was 'in & out' on the same day. Unfortunately the procedure has not been successful, but I have another appointment in a few weeks.
