Really bossy midwife

It's not been great, I've got a new community midwife and they are really bossy. I know I'm young but they talk to me like I'm stupid. They aren't as nice as the midwife I had before. It's ruining my joy. I asked for a new midwife at my doctors and they said they don't have 1.

Chaotic admin with one person not talking to another. Appointments cancelled at short notice, complaints ignored and then responded with copy and paste response that doesn't deal with anything raised. 1 year on still waiting for treatment plan and staff attitude argumentative and unhelpful

Perfect triage and assessment despite me being unable to talk and being a complex patient with multiple illnesses, being bought into majors on. Blues and twos. Was listened to. People took time to understand what was happening. Plans put in place for assessment unit to carry out. Pain management put in place. Perfect
Great staff when you see them

The staff are great when you do actually see them but I haven't had 6 monthly invitation for my check ups and have had to chase the appointments and arrange them myself when they are needed. There is also a lack of support and signposting for mental health issues.

Late 2022 I was on the Stroke ward G8 I did find that the staff were overstretched mainly at night time. But I have to say the stroke team themselves were fantastic, I received weeks of really good therapy from them, it was proactive and goal focussed, the food was also very good on ward.

Generally the service is incredible. I had an early scare in the pregnancy and they were great and got me in quickly. I then had an emergency c section and the staff were all amazing but after the birth my baby stopped breathing and was rushed off to special care. I didn't get to see my baby and overnight I had no update on how they were either. The member of staff I had contact with overnight was most unhelpful, it was hard not knowing what was happening. When the shift changed a new midwife was incredible, she spoke to me and then got me an update, she was incredible.

I am very anxious about being in enclosed spaces, but the staff were so good, kind and helpful. It didn't take long and was the culmination of 1. calling the doctor in Feb, and being given pain killers for a bad back. 2. calling a week later, as requested and being brushed off with 'take the paracetamol'. 3. going back to the doctor and being sent finally for an MRI on my back. We are now getting somewhere. They just palm you off otherwise with pain relief to mask any issues, rather than getting to the cause of it.

I had a planned induction, due to reduced movements. Had a previous 'still born' baby, which was heart breaking as you can imagine. The service knew this and I had a dedicated 'rainbow' midwife who I could call and access whenever I needed some reassurance, questions, at any time of day/night. I was able to access extra scans too, for the reassurance too and they were timely. I accessed these twice, and they helped a great deal in settling down my anxiety.
They looked after me so well and I was kept in for 5 days to help me get a good level of confidence up with my new born. Really could not have asked for a better experience in helping me through this tough time.

Good hospital stay

Following a fall at home and then a trip in to hospital by ambulance I was admitted to the ward for one night. The care provided was so good and anything I needed was provided by the wonderful staff.
