I had excellent care. Ended up with emergency 'C-Section'. They communicated well with me and it all went well. My partner was fully involved.
Communication not great with cardiology

The Stroke team referred me to Cardiology because I have Atrial Fibrillation they had to stop the warfarin. I had a letter to confirm referral and 6 months went by and I did not hear from them. I went to my GP who was surprised that I hadnt heard from them and my GP said did I want to make contact with the Cardiology myself which is what I did, after my phone call I had a letter from Cardiology within a week, so I went to see them who referred me to Papworth hospital, I found the consultant to be knowledgeable, and talked on a level with me and was helpful.

I had a bleed and collapsed Nov 2022, my husband called 999 and they took me to A & E. I recall waking up on the ward. My son came from Singapore as they arranged for me to be taken into the gym to see him because of covid restrictions. When I was discharged home the consistancy of the same small team from the stroke service was very important to me, they visited me for about 6 weeks, the staff were very good, kind attitude.

I had a stroke and I was taken to hospital in an ambulance, my daughter found me collapsed on the floor. I stayed in hospital for 4 weeks on Stradbroke ward where I received very good care. The Community team were excellent they came to visit me at home for about 4 weeks, the physio team were excellent and they took me walking and the exercises and activities were well structured and they built me and my confidence up steadily. I can only say good things about them.

I was supposed to have a skin cancer review but I have been waiting for the last almost 5 years, I've heard nothing and I feel left in the dark with it. If everything was ok why didn't they communicate with me?

My GP sent me to cardiology, it was very serious and I was given an operation and my life was saved, I am very grateful to them all for their prompt professionalism and care. The only part I am concerned about is communication being sent to me seems to be in duplicate, why? it is such an unnecessary cost also there seems to be poor communication between departments.

In June this year I had a detatched retina for which they did an operation for but unfortunately it re-detatched, and I had to have another operation, they responded very quickly I didnt have to wait hardly at all, and the attitude of the staff has been very helpful to me during this time.

I was taken in to A&E after falling at home and after receiving wonderful care and treatment in A&E I then went up to a ward for the night where I again received great care from lovely staff. I really couldn't fault any aspect of the care provided.

I really couldn't fault the Stour ward, the doctors and nurses kept me well informed through out my stay and the staff on the cancer pathway have been brilliant, lovely and so supportive.

Although the staff have been lovely I was disappointed when I was referred and then seen in June for a biopsy. I was then called in for the results but when I arrived on the day of the appointment they didn't actually have the results yet. I'd had to travel in to the hospital and then pay for parking.
