Disabled parking

unknown
February 21, 2022
The disabled parking bays have become very limited since the building work has started. We had a shock too when entrance 6 was closed off. My husband can walk, but limited with mobility on distance. No advance warning was given for this otherwise we would have come more prepared with our own wheelchair. Better communication needed.

After a heart attack 9 years ago I have had ongoing cardiac problems since then. I Have not had a good experience with the cardio department. No one answering calls or returning my calls, endless wait for referrals.

I recently had treatment from the dermatology dept

Dermatology
February 17, 2022
I had a surgical excision on my back under local anaesthetic. The treatment was organised, then cancelled due to a higher priority and immediately rearranged. May I say the organisation, personal treatment and civility I was received by all staff, reception to medical staff was exceptional. Thank you all.

A big thank you to the porter who supported me when I collected my mum from hospital in mid January 2022. His support in a stressful situation is very much appreciated.

Fracture department and orthopaedics
January 18, 2022
I had to attend the fracture clinic due to badly breaking my wrist, the staff were absolutely fantastic, especially a lady called (name removed), the whole time I was treated really well & I just wanted to try to thank the team there in some way.

Deben Ward (Maternity)
January 17, 2022
I had my baby during the pandemic and the maternity wards and staff went above and beyond. The sonographers were also fantastic and so thorough. I felt in very safe hands.

Failure in duty of care. 12 hour A&E wait

Accident and emergency services
January 7, 2022
Elderly father discharged at 12.30pm following ambulance admission at 3am. Discharged without pain relief or diagnosis. Not fit for discharge at all as unable to walk or weight bear and pain uncontrolled. Had to return the next day at GP request where he sat in A&E department from 9.15am until 9pm that evening before being transferred to assessment unit. He was not offered food/drink until around 4pm. He sat in a hospital wheel chair for most of this duration and no one seemed to encourage movement to prevent DVT which my father is prone to. Medication not given (Warfarin) despite informing staff he did not have medication with him. Moved around rooms/cubicles that resulted in him being forgotten about as he was only one in that corridor. STOP preventing relatives coming in with extremely unwell patients - this is leading to utter neglect as they have no voice to speak up for them. Not even given a urine bottle!
