Noticebly better

Very good service here and noticeably better in the last year. There are less barriers to gaining an appointment. We used to feel that the only way, was to queue up in the morning outside, but now, even when we call, if we have needed an appointment face to face we have got one.
KO- A jolly good service

It's a jolly good service here. Been thorough in my most recent experience. Came in to use the blood pressure machine (self service one in a private area in the waiting room). As it was bad they made immediate appointment. Had bloods a few days later and having an ECG today to hopefully see what my 'episode' was that I had on the day that I came in and used the BP machine.

Very thorough through current process of critical appointment, referral for endoscopy and now back for blood tests. All has happened very quickly too. Very pleasant staff. Tried using online system initially, but couldn't get it working, so I rang in and they sorted my appointment out for the next day.
Stop smoking service

Excellent help with the 'stop smoking' service that is delivered here by the Nurse. Really helped me quit and stay off it. The ongoing support is brilliant. Lovely nurses and those that take bloods here too. Very convenient. My family members who have had a stroke, has been looked after brilliantly too.
Good communication

Quite new to the surgery and found it very helpful so far. The prescription ordering process works very well. Being on a controlled drug means that communication is needed and this is very good. We had, at a previous surgery (out of area), had issues with it being signed off in time for pick up, so there were no gaps, but this thankfully has not happened here.

I queue up sometimes, only because I come to the shops after and I also know I can explain things better like that, as I am not brilliant on the telephone.
If I need an appointment, I get one but some things are queries and reception are great at sorting those out, such as prescription/test queries

Improved over time

Seen some improvements over time. Staff in the main, are lovely. I'd like to see the same GP and feel the other sites should have their own dedicated GP rather than one place covering them all.
Convenient for blood tests

I have to have regular blood tests, and this service is always prompt and easy to book here. I am also pleased I can get it locally at the surgery. Staff are very pleasant and the results are through quickly to inform my medication needs.

We have found that the only way we have been able to get an appointment, is by coming here and queuing up outside. Now we are local, and so that suits us, but others who have to go on the telephone have more of an issue, as has been the case with us.
Mixed here

It is mixed here. Gained appointment 'on the day' as my partner walked in, in the morning on my behalf, and they offered one. The good thing is that the people do know you, so they do not question this kind of thing. The main issues, as I know is the case in most surgeries, is that you don't get to see a GP, let a lone your own GP. In today and at 9:30am, my appointment is already running late by 30 minutes. The communication around this could be better.
