Accident and emergency services
July 12, 2018
Sitting and waiting for about 6 hours and had a brief assessment and I was admitted. i was moved 5 times in the night. In the morning I saw a neurologist and they are going to book me in for a scan. No food or drink was given or offered to me.
Looked after well
Maternity
July 12, 2018
I had our child here by choice as I had had issues in past in Ipswich Hospital needing neo-natal unit. So did not want those bad memories. James Paget is nearer to me but less well equipped to deal with the issues that I had last time. I was in for 4 days and I did end up on IV still. We were looked after very well.

The husband was transferred from West Suffolk Hospital for further treatment. It all went very well. The surgeon was very nice. He came out to get us for the appointment, very approachable and will answer questions.

Orthopaedics

They say one thing to make you leave appointment ok, then you find waiting time is a year for surgery, I have a learning disability and I believe that's why I get left.
Difficult Discharge
Brundall ward

Agreed with ward patient could not be discharged without correct slings provided by GT department. Whilst we waited for our order to arrive our resident's needs change. Arrived without slings
Staff go that extra mile
Cancer services
October 16, 2017
I have had ongoing treatment for cancer for 2 1/2 years. My consultant always rang me direct with test results. After my last operation in July 2017 the Anesthetist came to check on how I was doing, even though she was due to finish her shift earlier that evening. I felt like an individual and not just 'another patient'.
Poor
Kimberly ward

Resident was sent back to care home following recent time in this hospital due to having a seizure and bringing up a coffee granule like substance. On the resident's journey home he was sick on the ambulance twice (both coffee granules). Ambulance crew brought him back to home where he had another seizure and 999 had to be called and resident taken to Ipswich hospital
