Great

March 26, 2025
A great surgery, very quick appointments and there is no pressure to go online which is good. It's great that you can see a doctor when needed with no hassle.

Very happy

March 24, 2025
Very happy with the surgery never had any issues calling and getting to speak to a doctor and then having an appointment. Doctors have been good, the only slight issue at times is how long the call queue is but now there's the call back option it's great as it works well.

Parking is not great for this surgery

March 11, 2025
I do think the surgery is pretty good, I do ring up and often I am waiting about 15 mins to get through which can be a challenge and when they say that they will call you back that can also take a while. Parking is not great at this surgery, very limited space. BUt the staff are friendly and overall helpful.

Hard to get an appointment

March 10, 2025
Getting through on the phone can be quite difficult, you can be number 30 in the queue! I usually do opt for a ring back which is better than hanging on. I do find it quite hard to get an appointment with a GP, but they often do put me on to the head nurse and she is very nice. The location of the surgery is a bit difficult, parking etc. But overall I am quite content with this surgery on the whole anyway.

hard to get to see a GP

It is hard to get to actually see a GP here these days, but you can get to see a nurse practitioner easily enough. Not a bad surgery overall.

I got my blood test done at the surgery

June 24, 2024
I do feel that I can access quite easily at the surgery on the whole, the practice is good and I recently got my blood test done at the surgery and my Xray done at Aldeburgh. All good and no trouble at all.

No hygiene measures used

May 9, 2024
Went for routine blood test.
Nurses no longer wear gloves to draw blood. This would be fine however, the door handle to the procedure room is touched by every patient as they leave which means all staff have contaminated hands from opening and closing the door. Not once in my last few visits for bloods draws have I seen my nurse sanatize her hands. And the last two times I have been the nurse has not used an alcohol wipe over the area of my arm before drawing blood.
This could cause the smallest amount of bacteria to be pushed directly into a vein.

Blood test results not as requested.

January 1, 2024
I requested a routine PSA test as well as my Thyroid, cholesterol and liver function. The appointment was made for the 19th of December 2023 and my requirements were confirmed by the receptionist and the blood nurse at the time of my appointment.
When I got my results, there was only a result for my routine PSA, nothing else. This is not the first time this has happened.

Few steps to get appointment

December 14, 2023
I'm getting used to this system of a few steps before you can get the appointment. I do understand an initial, what feels like a 'filter' with the receptionists. But then the GP too rings you, at some point that day (not being given a time is difficult). Then they may book you in to see them. It just feels like that part is unnecessary. I am sure most patients know if it is needed face to face, and reception could ask if you feel it is something you think needs face to face chat, then you would be able to say then.

Offered app elsewhere

December 14, 2023
When I rang, I was 13th in the queue, but took over an hour to get through, and when I did, everything was gone, appointment wise on site. I was offered an appointment for Saturday elsewhere (extended hours at Wickham market), however, when I rang a couple of days later, I was able to secure something sooner here and they cancelled the other one.
