Although this is my first visit for this issue I have been before but it's been over a year so needed to do a new self referral. I've been able to ask to see someone specific so it's been a bit of a longer wait but I really wanted to see the same person as before.

Friendly staff who have a good way of explaining things and the printed information they give out is clear and easy to follow. I did a self referral after being seen privately and when I left a message one of the team came back to me with appointment options. I've been coming for a year with regular appointments and have found it has helped .
Slow process

I was referred in July and had weekly appointments but the issue I have is not something that can be easily fixed so it will be a slow process. The staff have been great throughout, I really couldn't fault them.
Gave me exercises

I saw the physio about 4 weeks ago about shoulder pain. I saw the physio at the GP practice first, then I was sent twice to Riverside then back to the Physio at the GP's. They gave me exercises and an elastic material and I think it seems to have done the trick, I'm feeling much better with it. I found them to be always on time for appointments, car parking is good at Riverside, no complaints.

Since moving to the area I've had to restart physio so although I've had physio before I'm starting again. The staff have managed to arrange two appointments for us at roughly the same time which was really helpful. Doing exercises at home hasn't been easy as I have felt they have made things worse. It would be good to have text reminders sent about appointments.

Only did the referral a week ago and arranged this first appointment by phone which was easy to do. Although I've had very little contact with the service so far I've been very pleased with how quickly a first appointment has been arranged.
Arthritis group Woodbridge Library

The young man in charge did not introduce himself, did not explain the format of the course, how many sessions, whether this was the start of new group or whether I was joining an existing group. Read in a bored voice from his laptop the words which were on the screen in front of us. The venue is a small room, not suitable in Health & Safety terms to set out a circuit of exercises. No handouts. I left because the exercises offered were the same as those provided by Nuffield . Looks like Allied Health provide a poor service as cheaply as possible. They should train staff in presentational skills.

Only recently moved to the area and started having physio after having back issues for many years due to a degenerative problem. I've been round in circles so many times and each results in nothing happening. I've tried so many different treatments, injections, Tens machine etc etc and nothing has helped. I've been pleased with the service here. Since moving I've had four appointments, two with the physio and now I'm being seen by a back and neck specialist to start the process again. In five years I've never been asked about how I feel things are going. The way the last consultant called me in to the hospital in London just to tell me that there was nothing they could do and that they were discharging me was cold, they almost shrugged their shoulders at me. To be honest I'd just like something to help so we will see what this service can offer.
2nd visit

It's only my second appointment and so far everything has gone well and I've already seen improvement. I did a self referral and didn't wait long for the initial appointment and the exercises I was given were easy enough to follow. The staff have been good and it's working well.

Phenomenal service. They have approached the issues I have holistically and with such compassion and care, the staff are great. When arranging appointments they are really flexible and will reschedule without making you feel that you're being reprimanded. The initial appointment I had was for pelvic health but they then identified other issues and have then addressed them. It can be difficult to do the exercises but staff have been reassuring.
