As soon as you say you do sport they seem to just say that if you can still do that you're ok. I also feel that they treat me differently after asking my age. Because they didn't treat something initially it has now resulted in further problems. Generally the staff have been very good, however, to be told to do more exercise on top of what I already do is not the answer. In the end I had to go private to get the help in needed.
The self referral works well but it is a bit like they just give you exercises to do at home.

The physio has been absolutely brilliant. The service has been great after my operation. If they had seen my x-rays earlier they may have referred me earlier. When the consultant saw my x-rays that were taken in March he said he wanted me in very quickly

Went to Hartismere for physio which went ok but then I had to go to Stowlodge for a hip clinic. The first 3 weeks were not very professional but the final week was excellent.I then went back to my physio and she recommended I needed to be referred to a consultant, but I was told it coud be 16 weeks so I went privately. The videos are outdated and are being updated. Staff were not particularly helpful at Stowlodge.

Have just self referred in to the service for the second time. The process so far has been easy to negotiate. When I used the service previously it was good at that time too.

I phoned to book into the physio service after seeing my doctor. I saw the physio last week for the first time and was amazed that the appointment was only a few days after the referral. I was please with the physio I saw and will be going bacl today for a follow up after being given exercised to do at home.

Very basic treatment provided. Very frustrating as the physio did not listen at all to my concerns especially considering past history.

The physios have been great and have tried a variety of things to help me. They have now referred me on to the consultant at the hospital.

Was referred to physio following a break to my arm. They explained everything very well and gave me exercises to do and said if I had any problems to come back

I was referred to the physio by my GP and it works really well. I can't fault it and I like the fact you can self refer.
