Self-referred into the system

Sudbury Health Centre
July 15, 2016
I self - referred in to the system which worked well but it's my first appointment and they are running 30 minutes behind. It has only taken 10days to get an appointment

poor

Very limited information given about treatment. There was no benefit to the low level exercise based work. Eventually after 6 months I asked for a referral on which has happened, but could have been sooner

A shame the service is not better known

June 21, 2016
The nurse at Debenham surgery told me I could self refer to the service, which I did. They have been really good and it has led to further treatment. It's a shame it's not well known that you can self refer and access the service.

My husband was told by the GP at his surgery that he could self refer and we can't fault the service, they have been great.

Exercises worked really well

Stow Lodge Centre, Stowmarket

I had treatment for a couple of months. The exercises worked really well and I follow the sheets they've given me. I've been impressed, I self referred in to the service and the booking worked really well.

Very grateful for acupuncture.

June 8, 2016
I was very grateful to have acupuncture for 4 sessions and I was very satisfied. I had excellent service. I was given acupuncture for a severe neck condition (spondylitis). I am a believer in alternative medication and I feel it had really helped me. Unfortunately my physio informed that only 4 sessions could be had on the NHS with no hope of getting any more for the forseeable future. It would be so beneficial if this could be offered for other conditions, but I know that cost would negate this.

Good.

GP referred me to physio at Riverside. They asked if I wanted a translator and I did. Language line was good. They gave me advice like carrying smaller loads. Showed me some exercises and gave me sheets about the exercises. Over time the exercises helped me.

Very good.

I was referred by my GP because of chronic pain in left forearm as a result of a road traffic accident 6/7 months ago. The Riverside Clinic was very good.. They listen to you and give good advice. Much better than Ipswich Hospital who gave me exercises which I shouldn't do with arthritis. I was fitted for a wrist/forearm support by Riverside. They were very good at explaining things.
