Very good

March 7, 2025
Even though when I last called the surgery for an appointment I was 23rd in line I was speaking to a member of the team with in 10 minutes and had then received a call from the paramedic in a further 5 minutes. After speaking to them I was then asked to come straight down to the surgery to be seen, which I was very pleased with. I also like that I can get blood tests at the surgery and don't have to go further afield for them.

All good

I rarely need to use the surgery but do go in on an annual basis to have a review. It's nice to see the practical steps they've taken, like the shelter to help when people are waiting.

A very good service

December 9, 2024
Appointments are quite easy to book, medications are delivered to my home, they refer well to the hospital, good GP consistency, they have a phone back system so that you do not have to wait for ages in a queue, I have to say this is a very good surgery and I can only speak very highly of them.

What has happened to annual health checks?

October 1, 2024
I have had cancer in the past and I am on the list to get a routine annual health check, this check used to happen automatically, they just called for me but not any more it seems. I have to instigate the annual check myself, I was told that I need to get an annual PSA check and when I asked the front desk staff for an appointment they seemed flustered and gave me the feeling that I was a bit of a hassle to them with my request. I know they are busy but these things are supposed to be done and shouldn't have to have the patient remind them.

Excellent care

October 1, 2024
Excellent care given. But getting an appointment is difficult, you ring at 8am on the dot and 1 minute past 8 you are number 60 or something in the phone queue, by the time you get through to speak with someone they tell you that there are not any appointments available and to phone back the next day. When the doctor phones the patient back there is no specific time given. I would also ask how can a doctor assess a patient properly over the phone? no matter how good the doctor is ! Access is the most difficult aspect of the surgery.

I see a very good GP for an ongoing issue and I'm pleased with all the care they provide me.

Really good

July 22, 2024
I've been at this surgery my whole life and it's always been great. I ring up on the day and get appointments and even when there are difficulties like no blood test being available in the time frame needed they sort it out quickly and find another member of the team that can do it instead. I'm not so familiar with the staff now as don't come very often but they've all been very helpful when I do see them and they react quickly. Prescriptions can take time but that can't be helped.

Good

July 22, 2024
I've had no issues and appointments are available as quickly as needed. The online system for repeat prescriptions works well and I've always found staff to be very helpful. Continuity is important to me and here I'm able to see the GP when I need to, it's always been really good.

All fine

At the moment it's all fine, I was able to book my appointment last week as I had to arrange transport to get me to the surgery and I like that there is flexibility in the system to do this.

Great support

July 22, 2024
I've had great support around my health anxieties and the staff have been reassuring and have gone beyond what they need to do. I'm always fitted in and seen quickly and have received great care. When you ring on the day the phones are busy but appointments have always been available when I have got through.
