They've been great. I've had a few different operations and had treatment for cancer and staff have been wonderful. Care has always been good when receiving treatment

Very good ward. Always helpful and cheerful. Very accommodating with appointments. The prepaid parking card works very well.

The discharge lounge is very good. We are often offered tea and staff are friendly

Thank you for you comments on the discharge lounge. We are able to offer to the drinks service working with the CoOp cuppa scheme, I am pleased that this had made a positive impact on visit to the hospital. I will pass your comments on to the team in the discharge lounge. Many Thanks

Very straightforward. Appointments have run to time generally. Staff have been good.
It would be more helpful if appointments could be combined to save journeys to the hospital

Thank you for your comments, it is good to hear clinics have been running on time and the staff have been good. Unfortunately at present it isn't always possible to make appointments in different departments run consecutively and we realise that this can cause issues with transport etc. Many thanks.

No complaints really. The green waiting area is normally very busy and it can be difficult to find a seat.
Only once been seen earlier than an hour after my appointment but when you are in with the doctor they give you all the time you need. Car parking is particularly difficult. Could further space be made available? Quite often my husband drives around waiting for a space while I go in

Many thanks for taking the time to leave your comments, we are aware of the issues with the car park and have a scheme to work through this, although this will not be an overnight fix. Unfortunately sometimes the clinics run behind due to issues beyond our control. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes.

I called the consultant's secretary and they have always been very good, very efficient when dealing with them. I'm worried about a 5 month wait for my daughter to have an operation but generally happy with the way we have been treated.
Car parking is a massive issue; we've spent 25 minutes looking for a space. But the clinic generally runs about an hour behind anyway

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments, I hope you have had the appointment details through for your daughters operations, if you have not heard please contact me on 01473 702101. We are aware of the issues with car parking and have a strategy in place, unfortunately this will not solve the problems overnight. Many thanks Steve Bruce - Patient Experience Team

I accompany a resident to appointments and generally it works well. At times you do have to wait quite a while but it's okay

Thank you for your comments , we do try and keep the clinic appointments on time however sometimes we have unforeseen circumstances that can impact on the waiting times. Apologies if this has had a negative impact on your experience of Ipswich Hospital

sometimes you have to do a lot of chasing. You can be told one thing by a consultant and then told the situation has changed. Communication between and within departments is lacking at times and delays treatment. From having an appointment it then took a year to have an operation purely because my notes hadn't been read

All correspondence has been received well and explanations have been good. Staff are good even the consultant has pushed his wheelchair to x-ray staff. I would rather the tv had subtitles and wasn't so loud

Thank you for your comments, it is good to hear that all your information arrived on time, we pride ourselves in teamwork which you experienced at its best. We have to archive a happy medium with the TV volume and understand that this is not ideal for all, we will take your comments on board when this is reviewed again. Many thanks.
