Not seen in appropriate time frame

I attended for suspected gas inhalation. I was not seen quickly enough that these levels could be identified in my blood. I waited a couple of hours to be seen. I felt disorientated, dizzy and communicating wasn't easy. Staff cleaning areas and trying to ensure that covid rules were followed were fighting a losing battle, thanks to the patients. When I arrived at A&E I had to stand and queue which is is ridiculous considering what I was there for and my husband couldn't come in to support me.
However the staff I did see were friendly, helpful and had the time to answer my questions, especially when I was told of my irregular heart beat.

Left waiting for information after having TIA

Stroke services
July 15, 2021
My mum went to A&E on the afternoon of 25 June after suffering a TIA (mini stroke) that morning. She was assessed at A&E and given asprin and sent home. Staff at A&E said the Stroke Clinic will phone her as she would need to be seen straight away. Mum called the Stroke clinic on Friday 26 June as she had heard nothing and was told very rudely not to contact them, they would call her. Meantime, we were all left with a very worrying wait and no-one to ask for help. The NHS website says a person should be assessed within 24 hours of a stroke. There was no phone call from the clinic until Saturday 27 June which Mum was invited to the clinic for Sunday 28 June. She is now being assessed and treated well but the initial contact could have been handled better. Mum should have been given more information (in writing to take away with her) plus a number to call if she had any questions or concerns. As she was seen alone, there was no-one with her to help with understanding what was happening and no reassurance that she was ok to be left waiting.

Eye clinic

Lack of suitable seating for obese patients, a couple of chairs without arms would be good, a very understanding nurse when told of problem discretely placed a suitable chair in waiting room, the Dr was obviously extremely busy and abrupt,
