I had physio at the Finn clinic

Physiotherapy
April 22, 2021
A physical assessment was carried out to identify and diagnose the problem. With this the physio worked her magic on me and put my ribs and pelvis back into alignment. I can’t believe it was an instant fix and relief to my pain. I will continue with the excercises she has given me to continue strengthening up the areas she worked on. I am very pleased and surprised at how quickly she was able to fix me!

I took my 7 year old to the emergency department as she hurt her foot on the trampoline. She was seen very quickly and everyone was very kind and compassionate.

High level of expert care given

Ambulance
February 18, 2021
I was impressed with the care afforded me during difficult times from the paramedics and A&E staff to the ward staff of Brantham and Capel wards during my short stay. I felt that I was treated with a high level of dignity and expert care by all staff and particularly like to thank the nurses on Capel ward for their care during my short stay. There was a short delay during my release waiting for medication, which was not of any great concern to me.

Care of father

Geriatric Medicine
February 17, 2021
Waveney ward is a joke with the exception of (name removed) who is wonderful. The phone rings off the hook. Staff do not answer any of the various numbers you ring on and there could not be les of a coordinated approach to care if the hospital tried. My father pressed his help buzzer overnight. No one attended. The staff were confused by his clinical requirements. He received no food nor water, which was a mistake, I received a vague apology from a nurse when I was allowed to make an emergency visit to the ward, on the say so of Dr (name removed), to take food and drink to try to encourage him to eat. Later that afternoon, a junior doctor called and left a message with my son. My son asked the junior doctor to call me on my mobile. The junior doctor said they would. Perhaps unsurprisingly they didn't. I have tried to speak to the site matron, who will not take my call. The operator advised that he receives many calls from relatives about poor communication experiences with Waveneny ward. He suggest I call the CE's secretary in the morning to raise the issue at the highest level.

Lack of communication

wards
January 14, 2021
We know the hospital is at capacity with covid patients but communication from staff is poor. Patient has been moved three times to different wards but nobody informs family. Unable to visit we rely on phone updates but these are sporadic. When calling the ward for a daily update you get moaned at because they are busy. Promised call backs never happen. This leaves patients alone and distressed and families worried.

Smooth and clear process for A&E in this COVID world, the whole process felt as COVID safe as anything could right right; staff were all friendly; excellent, personalised care by the Triage nurse and plaster room staff, all very timely taking less than 2.5 hours for triage, XRay and plaster room; follow up arranged before we left. Excellent, very impressed.
