Been good

Mostly I call for appointments and econsult has been ok to get help too. Clinicians have all been great and I like that nurse appointments in advance. The paramedic I saw last time was good and for me personally the surgery works well.

I find it easier to walk to the surgery to arrange appointments but I've never had an issue doing that. Reception staff are very good and ask appropriate questions to ensure the right appointment is given. Even before I got home I had received a call back to see the nurse which was great. I don't use the surgery much but when I do its always been great.
Appointment arranged in 2 days

It's been okay for me. I don't use the surgery much but when I rang on Monday there was no huge wait on the phone and I arranged an appointment for two days later with the nurse for a vaccination which was great. Very pleased.
Not too bad

They have been a little inconsistent about whether you can pop in to make an appointment or not, it seems to depend on who you talk to. Overall the service does seem to be settling down now although there are long waits on the phone at times but that's understandable.
Very good mental health support

They have been very good with regular mental health support and I've not needed a face to face with a doctor. It's been okay to get though to the surgery and staff have been wonderful.
Busy phones

I had to wait 1 hour on the phone which was stressful as by the time you get through you don't know what will be available. I have seen the paramedic and they are lovely and they do bring in the GP if needed. When I've needed to cancel it can be difficult as it's not easy to get through to the surgery and then you can't rearrange appointments ahead of time. The staff are lovely and accommodating when they can be and overall it works well.

They have had to cancel appointments when they have been short of staff but they did rearrange the appointment in time for the hospital review I had later in the week which was good. Mostly the hospital deal with my care but I would be slightly concerned if I needed to see a GP though.
Staff have patience

Econsult works well to get appointments and I do it first if possible. There are times when you don't need to be seen and it enables the situation to be assessed and the appropriate care provided. There is nothing to improve here the staff are great and do a wonderful job. Most contact is by phone but when I've asked for a face to face I've been able to have one.
Kept asking what I wanted

The GP I saw kept asking what do you want me to do, so the only thing I could do was ask for more scans as I didn't know what else to ask for. Access to the surgery by phone is difficult as they are so busy and appointments especially face to face are limited.
Prescription review outdated

Despite being on regular medication (repeat prescriptions) I haven't been called to see a doctor for years. When the prescription review date comes up it is just moved on a year. My husband is meant to have regular blood tests but he isn't contacted to have them.
