The organisation is poor run from the top to the bottom. It’s missing lots of people out who need the organisation to get services to get the right support

Distrespectful, dismissive, rude, told us if we wanted to leave then the door was open. Told us that we knew what we should be doing, so do it!

I had a very serious mental health crisis some years ago, and have been pointed since to the Wellbeing website numerous times by my GP, mainly as a starting point in order to find a private therapist. Which is to say, I have for some years repeatedly requested help in assessing the underlying causes of that initial mental health crisis, and been told by my GP that Suffolk mental health services are both overstrained and inadequate, that I would likely be denied assessment as I "don't currently appear to be suffering from anything", and as such that the NHS cannot help me with further assessment. So I have basically been referred to a set of unhelpful online "mindfulness" tips, and links to a list of therapists who aren't taking clients, in lieu of actual help. I have thus been mainly muddling on with a prescription for sertraline (which does actually help), and very few answers as to what else might be going on.

Since the age of 18 had no support. When I finally tried in my 30s they just wanted to medicate me which doesn't work with my issue's. It wasn't until I was 50 I finally got on a BPD course with Suffolk mind. But still get NO help from my own surgery.
Shocking service

Upon visiting Ipswich Hospital for a child that has since been diagnosed Autistic they didn’t act on what they stated they would do, refer quickly to a psychiatrist, no they contacted young persons services only for a child that had self harmed. They visited and did nothing. My daughter is autistic with no support, anxiety and ocd. I also randomly spoke to the mental health crisis team, and they said “we will send out a leaflet”.

My husband has used mental health services for years and not once has my view been sought. My husband has had crisis after crisis. He comes back home and I've got to put up with his behaviour. He gives one side of events and we all know there's always three sides to a story - what he said, she said and the truth.
Lack of child mental health support

He decided to not engage.
CAMHS said it’s up to him.
Prescribed meds he was told he didn’t have to take (mood stabilisers).
Because he doesn’t want to engage, he has been discharged.
We’re experiencing cpa and his life is falling apart.
Health and social care uninterested
