Just feel lost in the system

July 25, 2018
You just feel lost in the system. Parent of a now 15 years old, already being told the adult service is difficult and so prepare ourselves for 'not great' service.

Received help quickly

June 22, 2018
I received very quick help once I saw my GP. I was seen by the link worker and then by the IDT and the help I was given was great. The most important thing was getting quick help and this happpened

Support has dropped off

June 21, 2018
Support has dropped off. I was told to call a person for support, but when I did get through they told me I'd changed to another person. Medication isn't working. They said they had sent prescription to the doctors, but this didn't arrive.

Hasn't quite worked for me

June 21, 2018
I've been discharged from the NHS mental health Integrated delivery Team (IDT). I now have support going into 72 North street Sudbury. My depression still goes up and down. Not sure where I am going in life.

Not sure whats going on

June 18, 2018
Staff seem over worked. When my previous care coordinator left I was given to someone else but saw him once. Its been a long time now and I feel abandoned and not sure what's going on. Its taken over 5 months to sort out my medication which isn't working. Regular visits from the Care Coordinator was very good especially when they could help me with household issues. Having phone calls were also very good.

The available support is inadequate

June 14, 2018
Turnover of staff has been very high. They do offer CBT but there is very little 1 to 1 support. In the past, I didn't get the support I needed and the link workers had limited impact.

Long process when moved to the county

May 10, 2018
It took 2 1/2 years to get an appointment when I moved to the County even though I was receiving mental health support before I moved. I had to start from the very beginning again. The person that was allocated to me to support me a couple of times a week was not great and didn't take me to places I wanted to go. The current support I'm receiving is good its just taken time to get here.

More support from voluntary organisations

April 10, 2018
Tried to get support in February as I have a boarderline personality disorder and I'm under Bury South IDT but they wouldn't see me. In the end the police took me to A&E where I waited 7 hours but no one was there who could see me, so I left. I went back to A&E two weeks later, I was there for 1 hour and again was told no one was available to see me and that they would call me the next day (Monday). This didn't happen even though they had made an urgent referral. When my husband then called he was told that we shouldn't have been told it was urgent and that I would have to wait my turn even though I was self harming and felt suicidal. It was only after I contacted my MP that I was given an appointment and received an apology as they had lost me in the system. I now have to wait a month for my appointment. Local voluntary organisations have been more supportive than the Trust.

Suicidal Ideation

March 15, 2018
So I tell the member of staff from the NSFT that I would take my own life
the default response was that this would be my choice.

Felt pushed to come off medication

February 28, 2018
My child was pushed to come off medication against their wishes and better judgement. We did go to the ombudsman who upheld the case but it then felt that they did all they could to get them out of the service.
