Referrals take a long time
February 28, 2018
It takes a long time to get any help for children with mental health issues. Our school made a referral but we are still waiting months later.
Very under staffed

Fantastic service. very under staffed. Due to no fault of remaining staff. Very helpful.
Not a good service

Not a good service, the family tried to get help for our daughter but the waiting times for help or courses were not good.
Not enough Link support/Wellbeing courses
December 10, 2017
The Link worker at the [Stowmarket] surgery isn't able to offer the support regularly enough. A little bit more support would be nice. Being on a high dose of medication makes daily life quite difficult. Called Wellbeing Service but the waiting times were a few months for any courses.
Terrible communication and response.

We were with my daughter at GPs and they sent an emergency referral which means it should receive a response within 72 hours. NSFT downgraded the referral. GP re-referred and still have not heard a thing from them. Her school and now the college have been amazing.
Nice Consideration of Health and Wellbeing

Excellent staff, low moral, heavy caseloads!

I have suffered with mental health issues for many years. I have used many services: hospital care, crisis teams, CPN. I worry now how long it takes for people in crisis to be assessed. Over the years I have seen amazing staff leave due to stress, low moral, heavy case loads and poor management/ supervision. When a service becomes unsafe, people die! This needs to be addressed quickly. I have friends and family who have been given self referral phone line by GP but told waiting lists are long!!! No one wants their loved one to die, let’s get this sorted quickly!
Shocking and I am a senior nurse in nhs

Lady from NSFT came to visit and observe one of our male residents. She was very knowledgeable, understanding of our concerns and extremely respectful towards the male resident
Poor emergency support.

Dementia intensive support team.
A resident was in crisis during the night and had no calmer to be administered. Emergency were called. They advised my colleague that there was nothing they could do to help or support at that time and stated that the police should be called. After this telephone they rang back 10 minutes later and stated they were unable to help but to call out of hours social services to get the resident sectioned.
Felt let down.
