poor

July 5, 2016
I have been referred MH and crisis teams several times by GP, A & E consultant & private psychologist. A duty officer calls but then doesn't follow up or call back as promised. My GP needs to know from them what medication they can subscribe. I was promised a 2nd appointment with a psychiatrist but that never happened

A nightmare. My daughter was hospitalised for 5 weeks. Staff were inattentive - watching tv. My daughter was terrified. NO one would talk to me and our Doctor wasn't even told when she was discharged. When discharged she went from being seen every 2 hours to a monthly visit

Waiting times. We were rereferred last year but it took a year to be seen and then another 3 months. The diagnosis he was given was not accurate and we have had to be re - referred. I haven't been impressed with them. No support for autism for both children. Because my son hasn't had an accurate diagnosis it means he isn't getting the support he needs. The school's hands are tied so they can't give him the support he needs .It also feels that the staff blame me as a parent for giving him the difficulties..
There are lots of hoops to jump through before you can even be seen and if paperwork from different agencies doesn't match they won't see you.

Great all round

July 4, 2016
This is about Abbeygate Ward at Bury St Edmunds.

Ward and ancillary staff were friendly- everyone felt part of a family, everyone watched out for each other
The specialist doctors were very helpful
Food was magnificent
My wife visited frequently and received help and advise.

Lack of ADHD assessment

June 28, 2016
Often refer young people to services for further support. It is very difficult to get early intervention support. Also severe lack of ADHD assessment.

disgusting

Care coordinator was a no show, felt I was getting no where, they didn't understand my specific needs, was just a tick box excercise rather than treated as an individual. Felt as though I was being pushed to one side and that they didn't care what happened.

Cbt is excellent but crisis team are awful

June 21, 2016
I've suffered from depression bpd and Bipolar. CBT is good but my experience of crisis care is very poor and just get passed to 111 or out of hours doctors who don't do anything to help.

We are sorry to hear of your "very poor" experiences of our Crisis Service. We would recommend that if you are in contact with another service you share your concerns with your Care Coordinator so that you can be clear about when and who to contact if you were to feel distressed again.
Alternatively our Patient Advice and Liaison Service Team can support you in describing your experiences and will offer you advice and information for the future.

Gp refers to website. Self refer not good

June 18, 2016
Having to make the first contact is extremely difficult if you have depression, confidence and moiety issues. Once making that initial step, then having to wait is stressful, making you feel worse. Then have a phonecall which basically goes through a tick box exercise. Then delays. Then sit in a room to hear 3 options, none of which seem to be about what you think the issues are. Giving one of them try, but not feeling very supported at the moment.

reffered as an urgent case by gp 2weeks ago

June 14, 2016
Had a recurrance of depression and acute anxiety, referred by my gp as urgent, had a visit by cpn, who passed my details on to a care team. 2 weeks have passed and I have not been contacted by anyone. DISGRACEFUL. Luckily I have managed to get out of the desperate situation I was in.
