It can take a while to get through on the phone, but I've been coming here for many years and overall it is good.

Concern about diabetes care

I am concerned about the diabetes care for my husband, he has not been seen in over a year, surgery says its his responsibility to keep up to date. Refused test strips for blood glucose machine to check blood levels as he shouldn't be testing! even though he had a near diabetic coma earlier this year and ended up in hospital.

I am sorry to hear you are unhappy with our diabetes care. We do try to see all our patients with diabetes at least annually, we send an invitation in their month of birth. But do please assure you husband he is welcome to request an appointment with one of our diabetes nurses at any time. Unfortunately, during the pandemic, it has been necessary to conduct part of the review by telephone, but we are still doing our best to ensure all our patients receive their annual review. With regard to testing strips, the guidelines for testing and who we are able to prescribe these strips for are drawn up by the Medicines Management Team at West Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group.

They are always helpful here and you never feel that you are being a nusance. The reception staff are lovely. I wouldn't change anything here.

Exemplary service

The surgery is exemplary. The staff are very helpful in trying to find an appointment, an excellent referral made recently to the hospital. There isn't anything that I have found that is bad, its only been good. The chemotherapy bus that comes to this location is brilliant, its a real asset.

Certain doctors here are very good

There are certain doctors here who are very good. I am happy with this surgery. The transport is not good to and from the surgery. I think there should be more clinics here to include minor injuries clinic.

No air conditioning in the waiting area

I can usually get an appointment here but the bus service is not very regular. I wish there was a walk in minor injuries in Sudbury. There is no air conditioning in the waiting area. The doctors and nurses are good here.
