Prefer phoning

I don't particularly like the econsult system and prefer phoning to contact the surgery as I don't do online things. Calling though has worked and I've spoken to a doctor and now have an appointment with them, so it's worked well. I've put off contacting the surgery due to worrying about trying to organise an appointment but actually its been fine.
Econsult is very difficult

Econsult is very difficult as English is not my first language and although I can explain issues writing them down is more difficult. I did manage to get enough across and got an appointment face to face to sort out the issue but doing the form is very challenging.
Text messages are great

It used to be good whe you could just phone as I find econsult very difficult and when I've done them I haven't been contacted by a doctor when they've said they will call and this has happened on a number of occasions. I have one phone number registered for text messages and although they are useful it can become quite confusuing when receiving texts with no information about who they relate to.
Econsult doesn't allow for replies

I did an econsult yesterday and have an appointment this morning and in the past more urgent issues have been dealt with more quickly. Econsult doesn't allow for follow up responses when the doctor hasn't addressed all of the concerns and that really is the only thinkg that could be changed. The staff when you speak to them give lots of information too.

It's much better and has definitely improved. Econsult is excellent but it would be great if it could open up a little earlier or close a little later so that I can do submissions before or after work. It also means that when I'm working that getting appointments later in the day is more tricky but I have been offered GP+ appointments which have worked well.

Its not so simple to get small issues addressed quickly. You almost have to have a call back or an appointment to get them addressed.

When doing an econsult they do get back to you quickly but it does feel a bit more drawn out when a quick telephone call would sort out the issue more quickly. Staff do explain issues well.

Econsult does get a response quite quickly but it does feel a bit more of a drawn out process when a quick telephone call would sort the issue out more quickly. Staff do however explain issues well.

I have regular blood tests and find booking the appointments by phone fine. Getting appointments further ahead is more difficult as the appointments aren't released that far ahead. Econsult for me works well as I've had quick responses which address the issues. Staff are good . I mainly see the nurses and they are great and the kids are well cared for by them and they are really helpful.

Econsult doesn't allow for follow up questions as once you have a response they don't always cover or address all aspects in their response but you can't go back to ask for clarification and have to do a brand new econsult submission. I have a general concern about older people who don't have access to the internet when there is such a focus on econsult.
